Maidenhead players asked to take wage cuts, and have permission to seek employment elsewhere.

Andy Gurney has been appointed manager of Weston-super-Mare permanently following a two month trial.

34 year old Martin Butler has signed for Blue Square Premier "champions elect" Burton Albion.

W&E's game postponed but the only game played in the league saw Truro beat AFC Totton away 2-0.

W&E now in 3rd, but level points with 2 games in hand on Truro, and 2 points behind with 3 games in hand on AFC Totton.

Go W&E!

Used to watch them 17 years ago when one of my (then) mates played @ #9 for them (alongside Jerry Williams).

Nice club, adequate facilities..........and anybody can forgive Keith Scott

I'm told Maidenhead are in financial trouble - recently reduced the players' wages by 50%.

Burton get out of jail free tonight, snowed off after an hour, with them behind and never looking likely to equalise.

Drawn at home to W&E in the Cup I believe - that should bring in a few hundred....

The game against Hampton will bring in a lot of bar sales, last game of the season though.

25th April my friend.

Beavers are the form team.....Hampton & Richmond Borough extended their unbeaten run to eleven games with an excellent performance at Bromley winning at a canter by a two goal margin

Shame - was hoping it was the following weekend as I'll be at Carrow Road on the 25th April.

.... bit further afield but there's a great rustling of Anoraks over the news that the mighty Terras (Weymouth to the uninitiated 8) ) could be on the point of going under.

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/sport/4115933.Do_or_die_meeting_for_Terras/

... and similar to the Magpies money problems - Truro's 'sugar-daddy' seems to have cooled a bit and the clubs has (reportedly) announced they are drastically reducing 'wages' for the squad - that'll see all the 'stars' and erstwhile reserves/apprentices from Torquay & Plymouth possibly seek employment elsewhere.
Though this rumour has done the rounds regularly of late - a lot of it fuelled by local 'jealousy' - particularly from Devon clubs. Will be interesting to see if their financial 'downsizing' is reflected by any results to the end of the season ?

They must have a fairly hefty Travel Bill - nearest league rivals (I think) are Taunton 120 odd miles /3 hrs away - furthest AFC Hayes 270 mles 5 hrs !

Should they get promoted they face the prospect of getting to Cambridge 350 miles/6 hrs!!

But, you'll have already qualified for the play offs, no point in going to that game m8.

... haven't looked back 11 games but certainly in the last 8 CONF South league games H&R are (slightly) behind Wombledon and - quite surprising this - 'The Exiles' from over the Severn.

1 AFC Wimbledon 8 7 1 0 24 4 +20 22
2 Newport County 8 6 1 1 14 5 +9 19
3 Hampton & Richmond Borough 8 5 3 0 13 3 +10 18
4 Bath City 8 5 1 2 14 7 +7 16

... top of the CONF National is a bit upsetting.....

1 Burton Albion 8 7 1 0 17 5 +12 22
2 Oxford United 8 6 1 1 15 6 +9 19
3 Mansfield Town 8 6 1 1 10 5 +5 19
4 Stevenage Borough 8 5 3 0 18 7 +11 18
5 Wrexham 8 4 4 0 17 7 +10 16
