Drop Doyle!

by TBM » 19 Feb 2009 15:34

Personally i feel we should drop Kevin Doyle from the team.....he just isn't performing at the moment and knows he is Reading's most valuable player. I think the arrogance has gone to his head, so Coppell needs to get this out of him by dropping him for a few weeks and thus hopefully bringing the Irishman back down to earth.

That is all.

Could be onto something there TBM. He does seem to be lacking in confidence. I'd bring in Long in his place - using NHunt as the impact sub.

^ Agreed. Doyle's presence in the team has been holding back Shane Long's development.

Now's the crunch time of the season and I think Long will rise to the challenge - it will be like making a new signing.

Simon Church scored two superb goals for Wales U-21s - perhaps now is his chance to replace Doyle?

If you had an infinite number of forum contributors typing randomly on an infinite number of computers when there's a two-week break in matches, at some point one of them will call for Doyle to be dropped.

Roll on 3pm Saturday...

It's a realistic concept and something I think Mr Coppell may have been contemplating recently.

Maybe if we painted Doyle up, Leroy will feel more at home?

At least if we dropped Doyle and played either Long or NHunt in his place, the Irish contingent is still represented and no-one could complain, as we're replacing like-for-like.

Maybe Bikey needs to go upfront alongside Lita. I'm fed up of having these white, Irish lads playing. It's revolting.

'greed. Think tbh it's high time we watered down our Irish contingent, before we become the laughing stock of the league or worse.

Is this the thread we're supposed to post on to wind up the regulars on the 'Team board'?

I have genuine concerns about the matches around St Patrick's Day - the Irish players will surely be distracted due to the festivities and should be dropped for those 3 games.

Royal Lady But we have Kebe and Federici (he's an aborigine isn't he?)

In Australia, he'd be labelled a wog.

Which is good enough for me.
