I suspect he still lives at Arborfield and still socialises with the players. Wouldn't read too much into it. I saw Johnny Brooks in the hotel last week but I'm pretty sure we're not looking at him to solve our wing problems....

All last season we had everyone saying "we'll be OK when Little is back from his injury." Then he came back and was completely anonymous and ineffective.

So be wary of attaching too much significance and too many hopes to one individual!

Yeah but he was only brought on as a sub l8 on weren't he?
Its much harder to get into the game when on the bench and coming on. Blakey always used to start brightly and whip in delightful balls. Summin both our wingers cannot do!

Bring him back CoppeBOTTLELOL.

indeed he still does leave in Arborfield. Isn't his missus still part of the Royals family, as well as Shorey's and Sidwell's as well?

Doubt it, they don't seem to be very active this season anyway. If they still live locally they'd probably still go along to events though.

Coppell wont have him back - he burnt his bridges with Coppell when he said he would sign only to change his mind (which he is entitled to of course) - Coppell was none too pleased at time and for that reason Little in a Reading shirt is not going to happen

From http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~1581122,00.html

'Coppell would consider signings

Royals boss Steve Coppell admits he could consider adding fresh face to his squad if he thought it would strengthen the team's push for promotion.'

Laying the foundations.... !

A bloke at my sons footy training tells me he was at the fans forum the other week and talk of Glen Little on loan came up. The general feedback was if Glen wanted to come back he would be more than welcome at the club.

By all accounts, he fancies a repeat performance of 3 years ago when he scored probably the goal of the season

Tim Dellor on BBCRB has just said that he spoke to Ncky Hammond last night and there may be news after the weekend about Glen Little.

Heard this on the radio earlier. Not sure if I'd want him back tbh.

Why not?
We need all the players we can at the moment and Glen Little has the experiance of a promotion run in.

Little in means Kebe could shift left if SHunt doesn't start improving. We'd also have Tabb available.

Little serving NHunt and Doyle would be excellent. Little can cope with being doubled up on when he's in form. He's not about pace, so he doesn't get locked into the head down and run problem of both Kebe and SHunt. He has unbelievable control. Doubling up on him doesn't stop him and it creates space elsewhere which he is capable of spotting and playing simple or difficult balls to.

Wouldn't want him back permanantly, but he could have a massive impact for us right now.

Little's back until end of season

by No Hoops » 08 Mar 2009 13:58

Just got a text

Reading has a place in his heart

"It should be an exciting end to the season and I'll do everything I can to try and get Reading back into the Prem."

Welcome back Blakey
