I'm just waiting for my lift to the game now. Not all that excited , and have backed Sheff Wednesday clean sheet so I can claim my £££ back.

the more I think about this (which hasn't been too long I admit) the more this is the ideal game for us. Hundreds of miles and a Tuesday night means we won't have too many stressed souls in the crowd to get nervous. Wednesday had a great win on Saturday. We have all the form of a one legged blind nun in the 100m. Surely Wednesday will not stick 11 men behind the ball and get lucky on the break? There will be less pressure than the home games and I think the game will be open......sticking by earlier prediction of a 1-0 win with an unlikely scorer - Armstrong. Wednesday will have a go and that will suit us.

Just out of interest - have we ever won at Hillsborough ? I can't remember us doing so in recent times.

A fine 3-0 away win for us, Lita 2 and tabb.

I reckon we'll score 2 goals in the first twenty minutes of the game and look completely in control of the game - so much so that large swathes of the Wednesday support decide to oxf*rd off home.

Then in the second half Wednesday come out flying and stick 3 past us with virtually no resistance shown by the Reading players....

I've a goodish feeling that we'll win...4-1 or 4-2. N.Hunt with a brace, Doyle with a shin roller and a defender - maybe Pearce or Bikey if somehow he can get into the side - we need him for his set piece dangers!

Well if ever there was a must win game this season then this is it, need a result and goals to get the momentum going again, as has been said before on here this could be the ideal match with Wednesday still smarting from the 6-0 drubbing at the Mad Stad earlier this season will be well out for revenge so they will go forward, which should play into our hands !! a win, goals and three points

0-3
Doyle 2
Pearce 1

Only those able to read our managers mind will have the faintest idea of what to expect from tonights match

Having watched his central midfield of Harper and Cisse being over run in match after match, it truly beggars belief that this intelligent man came to the conclusion that the problem could be solved by replacing them with Marek and Bryn :|

As Wally Downes says today, we need to make tonight the start of a new 13 game season……………..one we are more than capable of winning in style.

However, for that to happen, our manager, who has resembled Moses in the wilderness over the last 2 months, will need some devine intervention some where along the line.

One can only hope that the M1 was Steve Coppell’s road to Damascus……………….because the alternative doesn’t bare thinking about…………….
