personally very much with regards to Kitson. If we get the Kitson of 2 - 3 years ago then superb, if we get the Kitson of towards the end of last season then it's a huge mistake, not only that but by all accounts agreeing to make it permanent is a peculiar one. Unless I've missed the genius tactic of signing up players who were part of a previous relegation season to then keep you up the next time

Kitson is 29, injury prone and proven that when things don't go his way he'll kick off about it. He was superb for Reading previously and may be again, but I must say I would rather our manager had looked forward to something new than rather just look right back to where we started from. I don't see the signing of Kitson (permanently) as a progressive step for the club to take personally. If it was just a loan until the end of the seaosn like Little then I would be more in favour.

Coppell's major flaw is being that too much loyal to his current players, he know seems to be happy with being overly loyal to players who seriously let himself and the club down towards the end of last season.

If it works, brilliant, if not, what have we lost?

I'm not saying it will work (although I'll be very surprised if neither Kitson nor Little make any impact at all) but it's laughable to suggest, as some have implied, that this could be a disaster waiting to happen.

I wonder if these are the same fans who accused the club of lacking ambition the day we signed Kitson, based purely on where he was coming from and the size of the fee

Does anyone remember a few seasons back when we signed Ade Williams back on loan, I think it was an evening game v B.Rovers, the whole squad were lifted if only to get strong characters back in the team, FFS at least it may break up the Riverdance posse for 5 mins. Blakey is a comic plus an amazingly gifted player, Im not sure on Kitson, I think Coppells "one trick pony" Mantra of a few weeks ago fits Kits quite nicely.
But Noel Hunt or Kitson?? Kitson. Lita or Kitson?? Kitson, Long and Doyle doesnt work for a full game so it kind of makes sense but wouldnt it of been nice if we had thought about getting Beattie before he signed for Stoke. Doyle and Beattie what a partnership that would be!!

There do not appear to rumours of infighting off the pitch or the spats ie Sonko and Hahnemann that prevailed last season...let alone Kits DD and Lita's escapades. By comparison this season seems a lot more settled.

Wasn't the main player Kits got pissy with Shorey? That's unlikely to effect the dressing room. I think rumours of his disruption may have been exaggerated and over-rated. I can't see Coppell bringing him back if he's a risk of disruption and discontent.

Im not really disagreeing, but I think Pulis has sussed it out, his control is ok not great, his pace is poor, he can lay off the ball and can get goals, it will be an interesting watch, I for one hopes he does it for us.
