Still

What a terrific terrace behind the goal there. I'd rather have supported football clubs 30 years ago compared to today. I reallt don't like much about football anymore.

I prefer modern football, but preferred old-style atmosphere

You would think it would be easy with modern science to make safe standing terraces, too.

It is called the Bundesliga. The standard of football ain't bad, it is competitive and you can drink in the stands.

Bundesliga > English football

ENGLISH football is non-league

What's the highest level team to put out 11 starting Englishmen?

Last time it was done in the top flight was Villa in 1999? Season when they were top for months and then flailed from mid-January onwards. I'd actually suggest that Villa could have played an all-English outfield this season: Shorey-Knight-Davies-Young; Milner-Barry-Gardner-Sidwell-Young; Agbonlahor and they also have Reo-Coker, Harewood, Heskey, Delfeusno in the squad who can fill in.

I think Middlesboro' got 10 outfield players a few years back - one was a scotch but a Murty-scotch.

Birmingham City may have done it this season - remember reading an article that they could/did.

United could put out:

Foster
G Nev Brown Rio Eckersley
Hargreaves Carrick Scholes Wellbeck
Rooney campbell

That would make a serious challenge for the top 4.

Congratulations to Wolves, looked like doing it in style pre xmas and then gave everyone else a bit of hope before sorting themselves out. Unlike one club I could mention.
