its harsh on doyle after his 18 +? goals
but the way stretch has just slotted in, been solid defensively, and been more and more progressive going forward.

i suppose if doyle did get it, stretch would easily get best newcomer as consolation!

People will only remember the second half of the season, thus meaning Doyle wont get it....

I can see someone like Dubbery getting it, just for the fact people are clueless!

Well, it would have been Bikey, if he'd played enough games  In his absence, the award defaults to Armstrong.

It's got to be Armstrong - but Long should win an award for most progress.

Stretch has been very good, to the point we have not even noticed Shorey leaving, which is good by anyone's standards as he was an england international!

I'd give that to Alex Pearce.

I would have thought, judging by opinion on HNA, that it was a two horse race between SHunt and Harps

Woodcote Royal Nicky who?

Shorey.

Bought from Leyton Orient reserves for £25,00, played for 7 years at Reading with 2 promotions, being voted as the best left back in the club's history and went on to get 3 caps for the England team on the back of a superb season in the Premiership.

Agreed it has to be Armstrong for slotting almost faultlessly into a new team and position that had previously been occupied by Reading's best ever Left Back, as mentioned above, a capped England International, the first we'd have for 70+ years.

Honourable mention goes to Doyle who despite having goals dry up since Xmas has generally been performing pretty well inspite of that and hasscored a number of goals that any fan would be pleased with already.

Most improved has to be the hardest fought in ages with contenders being Long, Karacan, Henry, Kelly, Federici & Pearce. I honestly couldn't say who I'd pick out of those lot. I'm not sure I could even narrow it down to 2.
