moo What are the dates of the playoffs? Better arrange the work diary around it

8th-17th Coca-Cola Football League Play-Off Semi-Finals
No confirmed dates as yet

IIRC, there was a thread with the dates on it - possibly posted by BigSCOT...

As I mentioned on the other thread I doubt they can be 100% sure of match dates for the semis until they know who are in them due to possible clashes / police issues

The dates I posted, came from the football league site. I just wish they would announce 1st leg to be played w/c..... and 2nd leg to be played w/c....
helps us with sorting work out! Esp when you need to book a holiday (work reasons) but you dont want it clash with the play offs!

Um, haven't they pretty much done just that ?

The re is only a 10 day window for the games and that includes 2 weekends so there is only one working week plus a Friday evening involved.

Which could potentially clash with my work!

IIRC, it's normally the Friday/Saturday (8th/9th) first leg, Tuesday/Wednesday (12th/13th) second leg, with the finals being Saturday/Sunday/BH Monday (23rd/24th/25th)... Not sure which order they do them in now. They used to end with the big one on the BH Monday, but recently due to World Cups and European Cups and such they switched it so international players got more time off.

I could be wrong and they've changed it completely this year though.

The Official Playoffs Thread

by AbovetheI » 06 Apr 2009 21:58

Now that automatic promotion is pretty much out of the picture, let's use this thread to discuss what we are mostly looking forward to in the playoffs.

The final whistle in the semi final second leg - it'll be the end of an era and the start of the club turning itself around.

As opposed to turning a club around and getting it to the Premiership for the first time in its 135 year history. Sorry, but until Madejski sells the club to someone who is willing to spend silly money I'm afraid this is the best we'll see.

For the last time, Coppell's always said he's been backed on any player he's wanted.

A trip to Turf Moor, a night out in Manchester, a penalty win at the Mad Stad and a day out at Wembley running away from Cardiff's knuckle-draggers, especially on the way home after we've beaten them.

Don't suppose anyone knows the playoff dates, yet? Can't find anything via Google.
