looks as if The Robins will have to target Bishops Cleeve for their survival - they host Thatcham (tonight Wed 25th) - and B'nell's next game @ Truro - things are bleaker still.
... meanwhile Andover pulled off an unlikely 2-1 win over Bridgwater with two goals in the last 5 mins - Sluff were beaten 3-0 at Burnham and Diddy completed the misery, going down 1-2 @ Cinderford.
Oh and needless to say Town flopped again in the Hellenic Prem: lost 2-1 @ Flackwell.

Intriguingly both Shortwod and Witney ( 1 pt further back) have to play Old Woodstock in their next matches - who've had some very impressive results against the top six since the New Year.

Many lower division teams (step 5,6,7 etc) have been denied promotions for a long time now.
Some for having inadequate seating, some (even) for not having numbers on their seats....ultimately some for not having two turnstiles (despite having less than 100 fans turning up to watch them week in week out and barely needing just the one).
The FA...killing clubs
Hampton have things in place should it happen, they were told last season that they could not even make the play offs unless they erected a stand that held 250 seats, they did that, they then had to install 2 new dug outs and an extra turnstile, this was all done, the extra work that needs doing will be done before next season.

... - apparently it was flagged up last season that they had insufficient seating and only got over it with a 'temporary stand jobby'.
Obviously people have been asking why (if they knew work was required back then) they haven't upgraded permanently in the last twelvemonth? Probably their location deep in a pocket of NIMBYLAND would be the root of the problem.
But like Tredder says they have known about it for a while and a lot of the 'rumours' surfacing seem to be sourced from rivals messageboards.....
... there is a lot of 'chatter' re several well placed clubs about 'work still needing to be done' and FA deadlines ... apparently Witney had the 'wrong kind of hardstanding' around their pitch and had to call in volunteers to sweep it away/relay it BUT hadn't formally informed the FA that the work was underway ... hence 2+2 =7 - and a lot of Hellenic 'fans' were announcing that Witney - with one of the best STEP05 STADIUMS around were about to be demoted!!!
... but if H&R rumours are true, could end up with a two way play-off to join the CONF-National - though I doubt if Magpies can catch up 5 pts in 4 games?

...could be good news for sides near the bottom (Furrock are hopeful of a reprieve should BS chuck them out altogether)

Although the game does not take place until the 18th April, with the previous healthy attendances and the prospective importance of this game the club has been in discussions with AFC Wimbledon, Richmond Council and the Emergency Services regarding the arrangements for this game.
Capacity
The ground’s capacity has been set at 3250 for this game; this figure has to include all match day staff. AFC Wimbledon have been given an allocation of 1750, whist Hampton have an allocation of 1350. This leaves an allocation of 150 for Stewards, Bar & Catering Staff, Police, Security and Press.
Tickets
The game will be an ALL TICKET game; there will be no tickets available on the day. All tickets must have been bought or picked up by Friday 17th April at 6.30pm. Hampton fans can purchase their tickets direct from Hammond’s or over the phone by calling 0208 979 2456 (there will be an additional charge for posted tickets). Tickets will be available to purchase from Saturday 21st March. Hampton season ticket holders must bring their season tickets with them on the 18th April to gain entry. The club will also be selling seated only tickets, any season ticket holder who wishes to guarantee a seat in one of the two stands on the day will need to pick up a seating ticket from Hammond’s. You will need to show your season ticket to pick up this ticket.
The deadline for tickets to be posted is Tuesday 14th April, fans need to remember that the Easter weekend falls between the 10th & 13th so this will affect postage times.

I disagree with you to be honest. I think Wimbledon will win the league regardlessas their fixtures are far more favourable than Hampton's.
They won't beat Hampton at the Beveree, it's a fortress.
