Murty to bang in a penalty in his only game of the season. Go up as champions on goal difference to Brum. ~Wolves lose in the playoffs.

Then again the occasion could screw us up and we fail. The nerves too much. A full house, Coppell salutesdin his last game for us. Murty the same.

Every time a game like this comes along I think of the Manchester City game where we were supposedly vying for a playoff spot with them but capitulated like a team of 11 Frenchmen with 5 other Frenchmen on the bench.

Then again, I doubt we'll play anyone like KEith Scott against Birmingham.

What was the point again?

Am I the only one who wants to see autopromotion before May? Seven wins on the spin should do the trick and then we can play both Keith Scott and Murty vs Brum.

And they won't have anyone as good as Terry Cooke...

I am with you. We have it all in our hands, just win and let other teams take themselves out of contention.

Must be that American optimism!

Or it's just that I keep my pessimism for Minnesota teams (especially the Vikings!).

Stranded When the fixtures came out last summer I thought it would and I've not seen much to change my mind.

Agreed, ive had a gut feeling since the Brum away game that a win on the final day will see us promoted.

Its just as well i'll be there then! 8)

Never happen mate. I mean the bit about 4,000 Brummies. The RFC allocation of South Stand already on sale to the 'transitory populace' who emerge several times a season for the so called 'thrillers'. Last game, potential crunch match.....should be enough to divert them from an afternoon's shopping in the Oracooool.

And previous quotes state that when the players can see blue and white at both ends they tend to raise their game. So that'll be that then??

I hope that going into the last game us, Birmingham, Wolves, Cardiff and Sheffield United are all separated by less than 3 points. Would make for one 'eck of a final day.

To be fair Terminal not a lot worked last season. I dare say that the superstitious amongst us will carry out their various rituals on that particular day though.

In fact do any of the infamous Hob Nob brigade have a particular ritual they have to go through on match day? And given the possible significance of the Brummage game is this likely to change?

I think that I will try and avoid anything superstitious. Over the years I have pretty much done them all. Same parking space, same purchases at the same shop. Not washing the hoops during the season... the list goes on.

Ark Royal wore the same gear game after game.

Fair play Terminal. Personally I'm not superstitious but am still interested in those who are and their match day rituals. I mean let's face it, for some, it's case of having to perform habitual actions.

We generally bottle it, just look at previous years :

Cardiff City away 04/05
Braford City away 03/04
Wolves home 02/03
Colchester Utd away 00/01

Derby County away is probably where it will all end
