Terminal Boardom Nostalgia hits the Royal County shock!

I couldn't agree more. Football now is more about business, foreignh takeovers, Champions League, weakened domestic cup selections and the "Big 4". The joke 10 - 20 years ago was that half time was extened to 45 minutes t enable the launch of another Man Utd away kit. Unfortunately, we are no better ourselves. Success has killed the dream. The hope and expectation that every new season would bring has now been replaced with a rabid demand for more so-called success. Whereas I criticise my misses for falling into the media trap associated with shape and fashion, we ourselves are becoming a generation of media whores and junkies wanting to gorge ourselves on the concept that is Sky Sports.

We have become way too serious and we have forgotten that football is supposed to be fun!

Give me Friday night away trips to Colchester and Southend any day!

Wow every thing i was thinking my friend, we have been seduced by the Might of Sky who hype up every game on TV and tell us that the only place to be is in the Premier, But that is the place where all the biggest wage earners Biggest Stars and the biggest cheats, liars, bigets, time wasters no where in industry would these people get away with it, I for one who has supported football for over 45 years is now sick of the sight of it all. i shall be going down the local park next year and watching real footy

Thinking about it more and more, I would probably enjoy dropping down a few leagues to see a bit more honest graft and toil. Also, not having to pay a ludicrous £8 to park in a disused car park let alone however much it costs for grotesquely over-priced and poor quality food and drink.

I sometimes wish that we hadn't had 2 so called seasons in the sun. It feels as if I have been "raped" and had my dignity well and truly stripped.
