new manager 2009

by mad79 » 07 Apr 2009 19:44

It looks as if coppell is going to leave in the summer so who would or could replace him ? Bryan robson NO . Pardew we would not have him back. martinez plays nice football, maybe. Dillon riskey but cheap. Brendon Rodgers been at the club before and would attract good players through Chelsea and plays nice football. He is my choice as he plays nice football. Forget Watford's league position he has no budget there and he took them over when they were down and out. He would also be cheap for sir John

And what makes you think Rogers would have more of a budget with us ?

Coppells future ,how about this

by Cpl Jones Dont panic » 08 Apr 2009 18:38

How about this theory !

Copps goes at the end of the season[ can anyone see him staying?] .

He takes his year off and steps nicely into the Republic Of Ireland job , when Trapatoni contracts ends [ he is 74 years old]. This would suit the Irish FA and players and copps gets a new challenge , without the normal pressue of international management.

Does anyone think, that the players have a good idea of his departure and that is why motivation seems to have gone ?

Mere speculation. Coppell won't last this calendar year. If we don't go up he'll leave. If we do he won't strengthen the squad sufficiently and we'll be in a right state come December, by which time he'll have been given the boot. We will then appoint Lawrie Sanchez, Iain Dowie, or Paul Tisdale as manager.

UR&G anyone?
