Where the hell do people get that's going to be a mauling from.

Despite not playing well, we've still not been conceding goals to anyone on a regular basis, I think we've only conceded more than 2 goals once this season and that was way back in August - (we've even going in to this game on the back of 3 clean sheets) it's possible we may lose, but we're not going to get trounced.

John Peel The chances are that this game won't matter now anyway. Birmingham about to go six ahead. If Utd get the nerves tomorrow and lose then both of us will be destined for play-offs.

In which case I predict 0-0 on a sh*te pitch with lots of long balls and a defensive midfield with no wing play.

Oh, and loads of boos from the East Stand followed by a thread on Hob Nob in the evening either trying to persuade us that we still have a chance or one that has a go at Harper and SHunt for being ineffective.

As unlikely as it is despite last nights win for Brum, it is still in our own hands. We just need to win the game in hand on them and match the results of Brum and the teams around us to set up a last day showdown.

Ermm, it's now not quite 100% in our hands. All that winning all our remaining games guarantees is that we'd finish ahead of Birmingham.

But even if we beat Sheffield Utd as well as win the other 5 games teams, if Sheffield Utd win their other 4 matches and score enough goals we'll be still behind them on goal difference.

It's just lucky that we're approaching the end of the season in fine form and with confidence oozing from every pore.

I can't bear to look at the league table anymore. I'm gonna do a Coppell and avoid the reality of it. :|

I know the horror of automatic promotion still being in our own hands - I just can't take it anymore....

I haven't been able to have a look at it for about 6 weeks now. I had a peep when we beat Donkaster but that was all. It's like watching a crash in slow motion (except that with a crash you just have to look - so forget that analogy).

You have to admit we have had some cracking finishes to the last few seasons.

02/03 Play Offs
03/04 Well not too bad
04/05 Play off hopes
05/06 Record points
06/07 Pushing for Europe
07/08 Relegation battle of sorts
08/09 Promotion Battle.

I for one am not to worried as it's all part of the fun.

Just think of what emotions we'll all be going through over the next few games. Brilliant!

I realise i'm setting myself up for a murking here, but I can't see how on earth anybody would think we'd lose 3-0 at home to any of the dogshit teams in this dogshit league.

It's all a bit bewildering really.

SnowbaLOLOLesque stat attack.

In 2009 we have played 8 matches at the traditional 3pm Saturday KO. We haven't won a single one. 4 draws and 4 defeats.

However in games outside of Saturday 3pm we have played 6 won 4 and drawn 2. Since the Burnley defeat in October we have played 12 games outside of the Saturday 3pm KO and have won 7 and drawn 5.

This is the end of the SnowbaLOLOL stat attack

Intresting if most likely pointless but we do only have one Saturday game left this season.

More real facts sir, the mods will be banning you shortly. This forum only has room for conjecture and hyperbole.

I want someone on our team to score a spectacular goal, something seriously top drawer like Marek's against Liverpool last season. Only then will I be happy.

Actually, a double sending off for a 22 man brawl after Hunt takes out Paddy Kenny would be good too.

You'll be lucky if you see us score a clucking goal mate! Get on 0v2 and watch it in a pub.

The last 13 minutes (i.e. after Curo had equalised at Brentford) perhaps but as for the rest - no fanks. Well clear at the top of the league at the start of March only to draw 9 of the last 10 games and literally crawl over the finish line.
