juanpablo this thread needs to be kept because despite its epic shitness and the team being shit now

my bet with Schards is somewhere in this clusterfuck and im still looking good for the money, deffo not over tho

Schards's prediction has certainly been true for the past couple of months, but emphatically wasn't true for the about 3 months in the first half of the season.

As they say, a stopped watch reads the right time twice a day .....

How can you say about poor performances in 05-06 season? I cant remember any. There is a massive difference in the team now and then, we were SO much better. I can't remember 1 poor performance that season, whereas there havent been many really good performances this season!

Not only that, but recent form is not even mid table mediocrity

Hampshire Royal I know things aren't perfect at the moment, but if we get promotion this season - which is still possible - all the poor performances will be forgotten.

Actually, no, the poor performances won't be forgotten. And nor should they. Getting promoted would be cause of celebration, for sure. But whether we manage to go up or not, either way we will have had issues that don't bode well for the future regardless of what league we will be in. If we somehow go up, it won't mask the fact that we have problems that need to be addressed.

But it doesn't show the right time for four months in succession. Sadly it looks like Schards was wearing an Accurist!

The prediction was for the foreseeable future. Are people now saying that two days later was not the foreseeable future - or the rest of September - while 2009 was?

Not sure, various people still have the goalposts held in the air.

Sebastian So was Schards right?

He was right apart from the midtable bit.

The football and direction the club has gone since Christmas really has been 'dull and uninspiring'.

So does that mean Schards can see into the future?

Fair enough - that means you didn't see the two Watford games then. Just sort of underlines my point that in a successful season, the poor performances tend to be forgotten.

And yes, DR, there are clearly problems at the club that need to be addressed. I have no idea what they are, but I know as little about how the game works as every other poster on this board.

So was Southampton away. We probably should have lost at Coventry, and the performance at Leicester has been forgotten due to the events that transpired that day...

That's harsh - at Southampton away we'd had a hard run of games and had just travelled to Norwich if memory serves me correctly, Powell should've been sent off for punching Doyle, who hit the bar late in the game. We missed a penalty at Coventry and dominated them for 80 minutes up there before they got back into it when Page (?) scored after he should've been sent off before that also for hauling down Doyle. Leicester we were poor first half but then second half we could've had five or six in the end, they just had the rub of the green.

Oh and as for Luton we'd played away at Sheffield United our main rivals on the Tuesday night and picked up injuries meaning we fielded a weakened team with the likes of Oster and Hunt getting a game.

You have correctly reported some facts of the game, but we were still poor in that match, and it felt like a fortunate point gained by the time it finished.

No one is really arguing that there weren't some poor games are they? Over the course of a 46 game season it is an absolute given there will be some dull moments and poor performances. I think over this one though sadly it's getting to the stage where the bad is starting to outweigh the good.

The highlights for Southampton away were a frightening beast to watch in the pub I was sat in.

Looked like we were the defenders of Fort Alamo and they were a shitload of spic marauders.

I think over this one though sadly it's getting to the stage where the bad is starting to outweigh the good.

Starting?

How long ago does October and November feel now? I actually have a PM from rabidbee in December saying "We may still be winning but its not as much fun anymore"
