The away team always score in front of there own fans, just to rub it in that bit more. And then each visiting manager expreses his delight at winning away at the best team in the division to make the win look even more better than it is. I'm struggling to remember the last time we had a run as bad as this at home?

Stats are stats and you can't dispute that the home form is wretched.
The important thing is the reason and no one seems to know!
It's fairly clear though that the team is very low on confidence - in themselves and the managers tactics.
He complains that they don''t keep their shape and panic. Perhaps the palyers - those that still care - realise that the "go wide, make crosses" methos doesn't work when you are up a gainst a bigger tighter defence and your team (apart from Kitson) are a bit lightweight.

The truth is that teams have looksed at the way we play and perfected the art of nullifying it. And in true SC style we can't change it midway through.
Well if he can't chanhe the way it's going we must change him.

Good perhaps we could play it on the left or right wing, be an improvement on what we normally have suffer in those positions.

FiNeRaIn So two AWFUL sides on monday, one to miss guys.

No change there then.

we've looked crap for ages, but every team we've played for the last few months has also looked crap, and every game has been crap. Law of averages says we are due an 8-3 win v Barnsley

If you take a look at our league away form, it's pretty obvious that we can play.

We started stickily with DDLL but since then we have W7 D6 L3

The defeat at Swansea was comprehensive but we should have won at Preston and Burnley

W7-D6-L3 22-13 = 27 points from 16 games away (1.69 per game)

1.76 Sheffield
1.71 Wolves
1.69 Reading (even if you include our sticky start we are 1.45)
1.45 Birmingham
1.33 Burnley
1.20 Cardiff

Since November 1st away we are W6 D6 L1 18-10 (just the Swansea defeat) 24 Points from 13 games = 1.85 a game (an 85 point season)

So we KNOW it's not simple ability. It's either tactics or confidence at home.

snowball the fact is we are still forth in the league so over the season the 4th best team so far

its also a fact that recently we have been shite and, despite marek's best ateempt a couple of weeks ago, couldn't score in a whorehouse at the moment

its about time you took your head out the sand! if we continue in our current for we will not make the play offs, fact!

Our last 5 games have this sequence:
LDDWL - 5 points.

Hardly great but you could just about avoid relegation with it if you were lucky. It would leave us on 74 points if we repeated that, which last season would have been enough to secure a play-off place. FACT!

I love the idiocy of this board.. people who can't count.

We are fourth with a game in hand on the team in second.

We are seven points and a massive GD better than Preston in seventh. Preston have to gain EIGHT points on us in 5 games

We are averaging 1.85 points a game away (three games = 5/6 points)... We have two home games.

So if we get just six points (two wins) from 3 away games and two home games Preston will have to win all their last 5 games

Preston's games (they do not have a chance of overtaking us)
