"Unforgiveably awful"

by Jimbo » 13 Apr 2009 18:50

BBC Radio Berkshire

Sums it up really.

A team with Premiership aspirations can't beat a team in 18th (or 19th, 23rd, 24th etc).

Players 'earning' thousands of pounds a week who don't seem to give a sh*t.

I am drunk and miserable. I hope we don't go up because this team will get slaughtered in the Prem.

Next season (and I have renewed my season ticket), I am hoping for a big clearout - players, management, trainers etc. Fresh start please.

I need another drink.

Hold on - we've been told on numerous occasions by Sir John Caesar, that this squad is good enough for promotion !!

Hopefully he will now realise that it is pretty average and that his penny pinching approach as a chairman has come home to roost! ..also any ambition he had of selling the club is well and truly buggared!

Had another drink....

Still pissed,

Still pissed off.

The worst thing is, we all know these players are capable of so much more.

Oh well, life goes on.

I just heard a Blackpool fan on 606 say we were a very good footballing side and possibly the best team they've played this season.....

JM should have ordered the team coach (that's the mechanical version not the losers who were sitting in the dugout at today's game) to have left after the game without the players and management. Being made to walk home would have been too good for them!

I remember an equally dismal, couldn't care less performance at Blackpool, around about this time of year, a few years back. IIRC Keith Scott was about the only one who looked like he cared on that occasion.

I remember a storming 4-0 win up there with the Blackpool fans applauding the team off the pitch at the end.

i wonder if it says anything about people that some remember the good and some remember the bad.

Probably not...

yep, I remember looking enviously upwards from Divs 3 and 4.

This is "still" a good time for Reading FC

Until we join the ranks of Leeds, Leicester and Southampton, then the good days outrank the bad.

His "penny pinching approach" might just be the reason we get to go and watch our team next season, which not only will still exist but won't be starting with negative points for going into administration. I didn't like his approach at the time, but he has been proved right.

We were brilliant. First time we saw Dylan Kerr's shirt over head celebration. A load of Blackpool fans celebrated me and my mates after the game telling us we were the best footballing side they had seen in years. Stockport drew with Cardiff IIRC.

Difficult times sort out the men from the boys - both players and supporters.

Good riddance to the little boys who don't have the balls for the fight.

That's right. The post-Christmas slide is at least 50% down to the fans.

i've heard this so many times and yet some how we still seem to have fallen right out of contention for the play offs.

Given that the season's over, there were a few positives today - Kelly and Karajan played well and we actually scored a couple.

On the negative side, S Hunt is not fit to wear the shirt and hasn't been since christmas, we'll be lucky to offload him on a free, and Kebe is just shit i'm afraid. The defending for the equaliser was a joke.

Whoever we get in the play offs is the most nailed on winner in history.

Huh? Did it look like I was blaming the supporters for the slide?

I assume you didn't realise my post was in response to this - typical of dimwitted shitty fickle supporters who can quite frankly bugger off as far as I'm concerned.
