at last two of our loanees actually start setting the world alight in the lower leagues
i think RFC have done a great job this season-getting the players staying and committed to getting us up, while at the same time, putting together one of the finest bunch of youngsters weve ever had for if we dont make it.

good work club of mine

Big fan of Henry, and although the brief highlights from Millwall's defeat last night showed him help create a decent chance, he was partly at fault for the goal they conceeded by letting the cross come in far too easily

Sodje demands FA hand Leeds automatic Premier League place

Reading defender Sam Sodje says it's a disgrace that a club the size of Leeds United aren't playing in the Premiership.

Sodje has joined Simon Grayson's side on loan and insists he can't believe Leeds are battling to get out of League One.

He believes the fallen giants should be given a free ride back to the top flight.

"This isn't a level a club like Leeds United should be at," he said. "Are you kidding me? Leeds shouldn't be in League One at all.

"I think the FA should put Leeds back in the Premier League! There's no way is this a League One club, or even a Championship club.

"It doesn't matter what happens on the pitch, the FA should put Leeds in the Premier League."

Gylfi mom again for Crewe in the goalless draw against Swindon on Saturday in THE SENTINEL:
SIGURDSSON: Another impressive showing from the Icelandic youngster. He was the heartbeat of the Alex midfield 8

Looks like Mooney had a goal unfortunately chalked off. Looks like he is getting into the right place at the right time in the box for Norwich, something we could very much do with at the moment!!!

What are the rules regarding Henry's loan? Can we call him back?

Does his loan to the end of the season include Millwall's probable play-off campaign, ruling him out of ours (assuming we make it)?

From The Sentinels match report in Crewes 0-0 draw against Hartlepool at the weekend, Siggy again the best player for Crewe who are desparate to sign him on permanent basis in the summer. Can the Icelandic manager entice him away from Reading?:

From the match report:
“KEEPING Gylfi Sigurdsson fit and firing on all cylinders will be essential to Crewe's hopes of escaping the drop.
Failure to beat basement rivals Hartlepool leaves them perched uneasily over the bottom four ahead of an Easter Monday trip to Oldham.
The impressive Icelander has made a massive difference to the Alex engine room since his arrival from Reading at the end of February.
He came close to snatching what would have been a vital win in stoppage time and in truth was his side's best bet for a goal in a nervy relegation scrap.”

“Sigurdsson – whose loan spell Alex fans would like to see converted into a long-term deal next term – offered the ability on the ball to unlock a dogged defence, which was well marshalled by former Port Vale stalwart Sam Collins.
Twice Sigurdsson went close to breaking the stalemate and if some of his team mates had produced the same sort of quality and persistence, it would have been plain sailing. Yet Pools, whose counter-attacking often flattered to deceive, could have pinched it with 11 minutes left had John Ruddy not scrambled efforts off the line from substitute Michael Mackay and Daniel Nardiello.”

“Sadly, Pools held out for a point fervently celebrated by their 400 travelling supporters, although when Sigurdsson chested down Dennis Lawrence's flick-on at the death it seemed it was going to be another late, late Crewe winner.
The midfielder shot low and hard but United's man-of-the-match Collins threw himself to divert it from the bottom corner.”

“But Sigurdsson's class almost had Crewe ahead in the 62nd minute, when he curled for the far corner only to watch Budtz dive across to turn the ball around superbly.
Julien Baudet's charge from deep softened up the Pools rearguard sufficiently for Donaldson to get a goal-bound effort in, but Budtz was in the way again.
It was tense stuff in the closing minutes with Sigurdsson's final effort almost conjuring up a winner.”

Match rating:
SIGURDSSON: Got into gear after the interval and could have snatched the winner 7

Not surprised, that's his level.

Just a shame we bought him as a Premiership squad player! League One to the Premiership is a hell of a jump.

The Sky commentators were creaming themselves over Leeds' central defence and the way Sodje in particular dealt with Howard - until he scored of course.

I thought he needlessly and dangerously played Leicester onside at least twice in the second half, a better team would have taken advantage.
