Irvinchangeyaname Doyle for me (sorry to upset the applecart). Loads of goals and still works tirelessly despite the crap players he has to work with.

The fact that his goals have dried up is as a result of Kebe putting most crosses in the stand and Hunt being a clueless prat.

Just discussed it with the boy, and he's also 100% Stretch but I'm still about 55-45 Armstrong-Doyle. If we had carried on playing well, Doyler might well have scored 25-30 goals this season, and I don't recall him suddenly missing loads of chances. Truth is, the supply has completely dried up. But the effort's still there, so he at least deserves credit for not giving up on the cause. Anyone want to make a more compelling case for him than I can?

Wouldn't be surprised if Doyle wins. A lot of the younger kids and girls, as well as the people that go every now and then will probably vote for him.

wtf????
S Hunt- really good start to the season but since he didnt get his spurs move hes been utter crap, v inconsistant with his final ball, work rate has dropped
Liam Rosenior- has been good this season and your best choice of the three, however can drift in defence and get caught out, fails to pick up the wide left players too much which puts us under pressure
Jimmy Kebe- have you seen him recently from your wycombe crow nest? he has no confidence, fails to beat the player in front of him far to often and hits one decent cross in 10

When will you learn not to take anything that Wycombe Royal says seriously? I would have put Kebe second personally lol

Nonsense, he's been a prime example of one of the players that Reading need to step up and hasn't. He was woeful against Sheff Utd, completely anonymous despite having the captain's armband. If it had been any other player performing so gutlessly with the armband on he'd be slated.

Doyle's first half of the season was excellent and worthy of a mention but since xmas IMHO opinion he looks like SHunt, a player waiting to move on in the summer

Don't start that again.

Numerous people agreed with many of my comments on the Sheffield Utd match and I least I could give Kebe credit for the one excellent cross he put in (it was the only though) rather than credit it to someone else.

But it doesn't take much to workout my selections were sarcastic.

I also don't agree that Kebe should be second. Rosenior hoofing has been of a superior quality all season and for that reason he must be second.

1) Armstrong for his consistency.
2) Noel Hunt for his enthusiasm and positivity.
3) Doyler for his goals in the first half of the season.

Hark my first two are the only two signings we made in the summer. Copps ain't half bad from my viewpoint

Young player of the season: Jem Karacan by an absolute mile. Loads of energy and enthusiasm - exactly what we need. Hope he stays in until the end of the season.

Most improved player: Probably Cisse but Kebe runs him close.

The MVP It's number 13 for me.

Been great all season.

As The whiff pointed out, 13 was dropped at the start of the season. Good job too.

One good cross in 1 game? Should be playing for Real madrid then. And I recognised the sarcasm in your selection which I responded to in kind. I assume that because Doobs has not played enough that his hoofing does not count. Whilst on the subject of hoofing, how come Marcus isnt included? Some of it has been spectacularly aimless.

The fact that Armstrong is by far the most voted for shows how poor the team have played this season. I like Stretch's commitment and defensive performances but he very much plays hoofball and that has contirbuted to our inability to get forward and attack teams as it invites pressure when we lose the ball in the air! People say he's better than Shorey. Maybe he is better than the Shorey of last season but not a patch on the previous 6 yrs
