Team V Derby (a) Tue 21st April

by runrunrunrungilksey » 19 Apr 2009 12:34

Derby have found some stability under Clough in the past few months and it is clearly going to be tough to get anything from this game given our recent poor run. I think we need some quick distribution so I would play feders instead of USA. Solid spine with Doobs, Pearce (C Def), Bikey holding (C Mid) Marek (C Mid hopefully to create). Kitson and Doyle (str).

Chaney where was Doyle yesterday?

Injured, although hopefully he'll be back ready for next week. Actually I don't know why I'm hoping for - doesn't matter if he's fit, Coppell'll find some other way to give Derby the points.

It currently doesn't seem to matter what combination goes out we cannot seem to score - prove me wrong.

Anyone who think Karacan shouldn't start is an idiot! FACT.

Anyone that thinks Tabb should play on the wing clearly didn't go to Coventry a few weeks ago.

Chaney where was Doyle yesterday?

Injured, although hopefully he'll be back ready for next week.

Because he's on such a great run of form.

2 goals since xmas. It says a lot about the post xmas form at Reading that Long is the most prolific.

stick your money on no goalscorer for the last 3 Reading games, bound to pick up once.

GK USA
RB Murty (c)
CB Bikey
CB Doobs
LB Armstrong
RM Little
CDM Tabb
CAM Doyle
LM Kebe
CF Kitson
CF N Hunt

Subs - Feds, S Hunt, Karacan, Kelly, S Long

Liked what I've seen of Tabb in the middle, very tenacious and energised. Doyle just behind the front 2 pulling the strings. Murts now back in full training, need his experience and leadership. Trying something different here. Coppell, if you're reading this.....give this a try. We need to play the ball through the middle and less of the hoof.
