Holiday caravan for hire, Ilfracombe, Devon

by sam1 » 19 Apr 2009 11:03

Hi. I'm in the process of buying a caravan. I shall be renting it to people, hopefully from mid May.

4 berth caravan, very nice inside on a lovely, quiet site.

Low season prices £180 per week.
Mid season £220 - £350
Peak season £370 - £420.

The site itself charges much more, over £500 in peak season. See http://www.helevalley.co.uk

I'll soon be advertising it on E Bay and will provide the link in due course.

If anyone would like further details and assuming the sale doesn't go tits up for any reason then feel free to pm me.

Cheers,
Sam

butlitz rules, the website of the site is crap BTW, the link to the map does not take you to the site, the facilities are hardly great, or well presented. One home on the for sale section says the 2007 pitch fees are included!!! http://www.helevalley.co.uk/Caravan_Details.aspx?id=22

'greed, it's not a brilliant web site. Just thought I'd offer some nobbers a heads up and probably a discount but I can see this prolly wasn't a good idea. Nevermind, plenty of other people interested and 3 bookings already.

I got straight in to the site and clicked on luxury caravans - which showed, I presume, roughly what yours is like. Can we also rent a hot tub???

Have you moved recently Sam? It's just I saw there's some new accomodation in Prospect Park right now.

LOL I've seen that accomodation in Prospect Park, I enquired but they ain't selling

RL, I think you can hire the hot tubs from reception. Don't fancy it myself. May as well get an old army surplus S tank, fill it with hot water and fart in it. Same effect but cheaper I'd imagine.

Should get the caravan signed over in my name at end of May. Only an hour's drive from Cornwall and 5 mins drive from Woolacombe Bay. I'm reducing the rental prices a bit then when it's not booked up it's all mine :D Not looking to make a profit on it, just helping towards the site fees and running costs. Reason for getting it is for me, my friends and family to use.

I'll rent it out from ya when I come visit in a year or two. :)

The area looks beautiful.

Woolacombe Bay is great. Went there about 10 years ago and the water was like tropical water... clear, warm and inviting.

I believed you right up until you said warm. Were you in a paddling pool?

I used to go here a lot 20 odd years ago. And Dawlish. Lovely.

Does it cost more to rent without the pink bedding?
