Chaney immense support at Derby, over 31,000 for a nothing game..

Hardly a nothing game for them - would have clinched safety if they'd won.

Still, 31,000 just to see them pull away from the relegation zone. Not too bad if you ask me.

Pleasing.

Not an easy place to go Derby and it sounded as if we played some nice stuff at times. Karacan sounded very good indeed. Will give the squad that confidence we've been missing going into the last 2 games.

What a big game Brum at home could be!!!

Quite an easy place to go judging by the last two visits and taking into account our form going into those gamse.

OK, so I admit I headed out to be not too late to work after Long scored. Sorry to have missed a thread that revived my faith in Team in the way that a win did for my faith in ... well, the team. Special mention to Mags, floyd, papereyes, Royal with Cheese (plus myself for bigging up 'spacktard' just a couple of days before Mags used it with stunning effect 8) . Next up, Bank of America will be a good bet for the rest of the week, after needlessly giving away several percent on Monday.) Special LOL's for pooh's pure, howser, the MVP (for shit fishing), and sundry others.

Karacan seems to have featured in most of our best performances this season - after proving he had the right stuff in the comprehensive wins in the Autumn he was probably discarded rather too early in favour of the tried and tested.

Shame. After all the various combinations tried all over the park in the last few months, I can't help but wonder why almost the last player brought back in was the one who featured in all those excellent performances where we were scoring for fun. He should have been the first.

coppells stumbled on a winning midfield combo in my opinion

tabb and karacan look to have bags of energy and running, a good tackle, a range of passing, decent shots on goal
at last

shlong sounded very good, offside alot, but his touch seems to have improved tenfold

dan harding had a great debbut too by the sounds of it

well done lads

so pleased to see us finally make some sort of fight of this, weve taken a few stuttering steps towards some form in the last few games
just in the nick of time

lets make it count vs norwich now please

Can anyone remember any other time when we have had 3 goals disallowed in the first 7 minutes?

Arse Rother Karacan....he was probably discarded rather too early in favour of the tried and tested.

Discarded??? Try "injured and then unable to get back in after getting fit again".

Was his injury a factor ?

But agree it's good to see him doing a job.

I do have a concern that Tabb and Karacan have no aeriel prescence and there will be some teams where this would be a real weakness.

But the trend seems to be for smaller mobile midfielders and if it's good enough for the SPanish....

Up front or at the back I'd agree, but height is less impotant for a midfielder.

And when we do have taller players playing it only encourages hoofball, anyway....

Hmm, well, he was unplayed sub a few times before his injury I think, so I think it's probably fair to say he had been dropped, but I take your point re the injury.

When did he get fit again?
