2 world wars, 1 world cup I'm shocked.

Let me get this straight.... if we win both remaining matches and Sheff Utd don't win we're up?

Ask floyd.........

Don't think I can cope with all the excitement. Argggg

Hate and love Preston all at once for giving me hope when I had contented myself to the play-offs.

Now I really really want automatic promotion, especially as I was a plum and booked a holiday over the play-offs, and won't even be able to watch/listen to the match (if we got there) as I'm oxf*rd on a flight at the exact time of the final :x  :x

I was thinking the same thing!

It's still staggering to think that with 2 games to go we still have a chance of automatic promotion!

How dull this season is! Oh, and uninspiring!

Reality check - Norwich need the points even more than we do....

On the other hand, presumably no Mooney for them.

Norwich will give so much on Monday and battle to the end. We undoubtedly have more quality and ability than them, especially with Mooney unavailable. However lots of questions have been asked about the team with regards to their fight and mentality. I don't think they've been answered as yet, and I think we could be outfought on Monday night. By all means prove me wrong Reading. You could have learned a lot watching that Preston side tonight. Should have had 2 penalties, missed a great chance, went a goal down, had a man wrongly sent off before coming back to win. That's character, and truth be told if we don't pull off automatic promotion I'll be hoping that Preston don't get into the play-offs.

Ian Royal Kevin Phillips 93rd minute winner whith Sheff losing is just as likely.

In fact it's quite likely we throw it away against Norwich. Quite often when all th eresults have gone our way we've not taken advantage.
Not like you to be a doom and gloom merchant Ian!

But they have to push forward which will make the game open. As we saw at Derby this will give us an advantage.

Oh COME ON RwC - it's not our play that has made this run-in exciting - you've got to concede that!

If you're referring to Schards, which I presume you are, you're wayyyyy off the mark. He just doesn't get carried away - he's happier than anyone tonight that we've still got a chance.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....I haven't gone that mad about a goal in a game not involving us for ages.....I still think Sheff Utd will go up ahead of us, but I'd love it if we took it away from that smug g*t incharge of Brum!!

I can't help but think that the team laughing most today is Sheffield United.

Yes, this makes it all interesting for next week - but Sheffield United are the ones in the driving seat and with form at the mo!

Well, well. Can't quite believe that there remains a chance to go into the last today with promotion in the balance. But that's the situation we are in. Ultimately, we need to prove we are worthy of automatic promotion. Can we beat a relegation struggler in front of their own fans? Can we go there and professionally wrap up the points against a desperate, passionate but lesser side? And then can we do the 'ultimate' and beat one of the two teams who can still make automatic promotion ahead of us?

Thrilled we are in this position, but first things first, we need to be the sh*t team on Monday.

Exibit A:
Schards#2 I think we need to get used to mid table championship football at the very best....

...supporting Reading's going to be a whole lot duller and uninspiring than in recent years

Thats not getting carried away at all is it?
