A bet for tonight?

Having just looked at the odds, i'm struggling to see why Norwich are favourites.

Reading's recent away form is pretty solid with only one defeat in 14 and only two conceded in the last five games. Most of our problems have been with teams that sit back and who we are incapable of breaking down. Norwich can't do that as they need a win.

Their most prolific striker recently is Mooney who won't be playing.

Last years bet softened the blow of relegation somewhat, especially when I was lying on the beach in Cancun, although would have course swapped in all for staying up.

Where did you see that Narch are favs?

Ladbrokes make them 9/5 with Reading 7/5 and the draw 12/5.

Maybe a few quid has gone on Urrzz as Narch are 2.94 and Urrzz are 2.62 with Betfair now.

Looks like laying Reading at 2.66 is the way to go to soften any possible blow.

Sportingindex may well be the way to go Narch / Urzz is -0.1 - 0.1 so a buy on Narch at 0.1 looks a good saver for 50 quid.

8/13 on sheff Utd so £500 down to get a return of £307 or £807 with your stake back, although might combine it with Burnley home win at 1/2 for return of £1210.

Wouldn't bet on Sheff Utd to win at Palace and get promotion because likely outcome could well be Sheff win and Brum win, so Brum get second place.

Is it possible to bet simply on a team getting in top two i.e. achieving promotion?

If so, that is what I'm going to bet on - not specific matches. Betting "against" Reading will soften the blow.

Yeah, it is a combined bet. Basically you have to have both a 3-1 win and Kitson to score the first - if one of those things doesn't happen then you lose. Very risky, but quality if it pays off. A combined bet just means multiple bets joined into one.

Why do people do these silly bets?... complete mugs bets. Bookies laughing all the way to the bank. They give such short odds compared to the actually probability of the bet actually happening.

Only one type of bet that the bookie hates and thats the straight single.
