handbags_harris Marques goes down with nobody near him, players crowd around. Iv'e always wondered what everyone says when players crowd around an injured player in that fashion...something like "You alright mate?"

I think it's more like a car crash on the motorway, everyone wants to have a look.

FORSTERS_RIGHT_FOOT Cracking double save from Valdes, or is that two glaring misses by Drogba?

One of each, the second was a definite howler from Didier

Fwank's just been subbed, I hadn't even realised he was playing etc etc

Obviously looking to sit back and stifle, and annoyingly, it worked. Even then, with the obvious chances that Barca had they should have won. And comfortably. I just hope they get an away goal or two at Stamford Bridge. Heaven knows they're well capable.

Biggest disappointment for me was Messi. Completely anonymous second half.
Never tire of watching Iniesta, fantastic player. One highlight in a so-so match.

How strong can Barca be defensively with a CB who was probably 5th choice at Utd

Good performance from Chelsea, but I feel that tonight was the easier part for them - they could stifle to their hearts content and try and pinch something, which they did very well. On another day Drogba might have scored.

Presumably they would want to play a more expansive game at Stamford Bridge, which in turn leaves more space for Barcelona....plenty for Hiddink to think about IMO.

Chelsea had their game plan and it worked well albeit with a few close shaves.

Ofcourse they'll be more attacking in the 2nd leg.

Thing is he's been one of their best players this season and is keeping Puyol out of the team.

This game was shockingly poor though

Was impressed with Cech last night. Hopefully the second leg will be a lot more open making for a better game.

Chelsea did well last night, still unsure about the second leg as they need to go at it more. Should be a good game though.

Would prefer Arsenal to go through but Utd will shade it I think

Glad about the result last night as I'm going to the 2nd leg and it means that both teams have it all to play for whereas if Barcelona had converted a few more chances to win 3-0 or 4-1 it would have been all over.
A very good defensive performance by Chelsea but it's a very long time since I can remember Chelsea playing anybody and only having one shot in the whole game.
For entertainment and playing the game in it's most attractive form:-
Barcelona>>>>>>>>>>>>>Arsenal>>>>>>>>>>>>>Man Utd>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chelsea
For efficient and not-so-entertaining football :-
Chelsea>>>>>>>>>>>>>Man Utd>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Arsenal>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Barcelona

Depends on what you find entertaining. I don't find Arsenal very entertaining with their many pointless passes going nowhere. Oh, and diving, cheating and whinging to the referee.
