For drama the Plymouth game took some beating.

One game sticks out for me was a 4-0 over Wigan where the passing game from Reading was a delight to behold.

Berry
Fluff archie lovells 2 injury time goals against Wolves

Most definetly, fantastic end to game, Didnt Gilksey get stretchered off? With the South Bank singing "Run, Run, Run Gilksey"

I think he did. He had just signed for Wolves and some of their fans had got into the home end and were asking me whether he was any good.

True. I remember the game well because it was one of only two games my other half went to. When Lovell scored his goals she asked me who had scored. I told her it was Stuart Lovell. She told me I was wrong because the fans were chanting Archie  I knew then it was the second and last game she would attend.

Yep, and the irony is that that's where all the injury time came from that Archie used.

Paul Cowin Two stand out for me.

Firstly when we beat Mark McGhee's Wolves 2-1 and we were 1-0 down in the 90th minute then Archie scored twice to shut the Wolves fans right up.

Secondly the 3-2 win against Bolton in our first meeting with them at home since we lost to them in the play-offs.

A Trevor Morley hat trick and Quinny in goal for most of the match.

What a day

Are you me in disguise???

Those were EXACTLY the games on my mind.

I'm too much of a plastic to know the earlier games people are mentioning but surely they can't have been as good as these?

3-0 vs Wolves April 96
3-2 vs Bolton Feb 97
2-1 vs Wolves April 97
4-2 vs Wolves Oct 97
4-0 vs Sunderland Oct 97

Those are all games that really stick out in my memory.

Thaumagurist* I won't stick up a poll just yet, I need some nominations first.

To get the ball rolling, how about the 4-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers after McGhee buggered off, in 1994?

And what about the 2-0 win over Brighton, to secure the second division championship at the end of the 1993-4 season?

Oh and the Coventry Simod Cup semi-final. I feel the goosebumps about that one.....

Coventry Simod Cup Semi Final.

Plymouth game for excitement has got to be the no 1 best of all time

Couple of others

Best away performance - Man City in  FA Cup beat us 7-0 Summerbee, Colin Bell, Francis Lee etc

Best ever Reading goal - Robin Friday versus Tranmere

Most poignant - last ever game when Norwich beat us we were already relegated to Div 1 - nice we were able to repay the compliment the other night

5-0 against Tranmere (75), 4-0 against Grimsby (79). Both were promotion 'rivals', blown away.

Reading 2 Bolton 1

Reading 4 Wolves 2

Wasn't at either of them but what games they were.

I only went to one game at Elm Park  Not a particularly exciting game http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=240653. I was a Northern Reading fan who went to lots of away games (10 in 1995).
