(1) Best case scenario: We win, SUFC don't --> PLASTIC CITY

(2) "Not that bad" scenario: We win, SUFC win ---> WIN PLAYOFFS

(3) "Barely tolerable" scenario: We lose, SUFC win ---> MAYBE GET TO FINAL THEN WHO KNOWS

(4) Ugly scenario: We lose, SUFC lose ---> NO HOPE IN HELL

I predict (3)

2-O To Reading. I don't care who scores.
The biggest thing we have in our favour is that both Sheff. Utd. and Brum are going to be very nervous. They both have to win not being able to just play for a draw.
Whereas we should be able to just go out and play our natural game and enjoy ourselves and of course after our two consecetive wins we shoukld be playing with more confidencer than at any time in 2009

Official Neil Warnock Apology Thread

by Alivey » 04 May 2009 01:08

Here it is, the chance for quite a few Reading fans to officially apologise to Neil Warnock and show just a fraction of the integrity this man has.

Suggestions that he would field a weakened team were predictably wide of the mark, just as the Blades knew all along. Not only that but Palace fought for every ball as if their life's depended on it and this was no doubt down to Warnock himself.

As it turned out the result was immaterial as Birmingham got the win they needed but that's not the point. The point is wild accusations were thrown around and I think that those responsible should be big enough to admit they got the man wrong.

Love him or hate him, Neil Warnock has integrity, and if certain fellow top flight managers had some of the same the game wouldn't be the joke that it sometimes is.

Well done Birmingham City, great result today.

Turns8
Snowball Palace haven't done that badly versus 7 of the top 8 teams

W2 D3 L2 4-5

0-1 Wolves
0-2 Cardiff

0-0 Reading
0-0 Birmingham
0-0 Burnley

2-1 Preston
2-1 Swansea

That just looks like a load of numbers to me....

I think it strongly suggested Sheffield United might not win at Palace with the most likely result being 0-0?

Past performance isn't necessarily indicative of future results, of course. In fact, this season in this division it's amost impossible to predict what might happen next.

Of course, but now they have had W2 D FOUR (0-0) and L2 against the top eight, so it looks like the stats/history was in this case quite predictive.
