Despite a significant number of players putting in below par performances in the last game, I still think that the majority of the players that started in the last game are the ones that will give us the best chance of winning the play offs.

I don't expect us to go up. You can't with the play offs, it's just too easy for surprises to crop up. But we have a chance and that's all yuo can say for any of the teams involved.

I think we need a couple of seasons of rebuilding to be perfectly honest. We have too many players who aren't as good as they think they are and aren't capable of consistently performing to the required level. But saying that. Even with those players we are good enough to challenge for the play offs in the rebuilding period.

Drew_3 this will be locked in no time but im going to post it anyway as it will make me feel better.

From now on there should be no he is shit or he should not play, we don't pick the team and never will. so for the next 3-4 weeks lets just get behind the team, support them as best we can. after that we can go back to slagging everyone of them off but untill it is all over lets just support our team!

CMON URZZZZZZ!!!

...but SHunt is shit ! no getting away from the truth..what should we lie then??

floyd__streete I am positive that we won't win the play-offs.

As positive you were that Birmingham would beat Preston?

I'm only positive about 2 things:

1) I have absolutely no idea how the play-off's are going to pan out.

2) We will have to play 2 out of the three games away from home if we are to get to the final.

I got it right eventually though didn't I? Do you rate Birmingham now after yesterday? You mocked them all season, after all

No floyd, you got it wrong. You predicted Birmingham would beat Preston and they didn't. There is no grey area in that statement. I'm merely pointing out that you (gasp) could be wrong again.

FTR I'm dissappointed that we didn't beat Birmingham. Without the goalkeeping howler I think we would have beaten them. Such is the home run we're on at the moment. As the commentator pointed out on Sky this is first time in 24 games Birmingham have scored 2 in a game.

So, you're saying that Wembley is our home ground? We will not be playing at home in the final. Seeing as this our home form appears to be the stumbling block at the moment I would have thought this would be a positive?

Anyway, it's a long way to go before then. Burnley are flying at the moment. They are the team I would least like to face. We are where we are and we just have to get on with it.

They choked against PNE. Luckily for them they still had the get-out-of-jail-free card of one last match against an even bigger set of chokers, Reading. I said all season that Birmingham would be promoted and I am merely pointing out that (gasp) I got it right yesterday in the grand scheme of things!

You said we will have to play 2 out of the three games away from home to get to the final. The semi-final is played over 2 matches, mate, hth 8)

I love this team. I want us to win the semi-final and make it to Wembley. It has been a fun season, three more games will do nicely.

Schards in making no useful/positive contribution shocker.

Too many simple and silly mistakes in the game against B'ham and we only got going once they scored the second, but plenty of positive potential on display in the match. We can do Burnley away and a do enough at home. Will we? Who knows.

Clearly if we're going to win the play-offs we need to win our 2 legged playoff semi final and then play at Wembley stadium. One of these semi final games is away. The final is also away (neutral venue, not at home - whatever). Therefore 2 of the games will be away from home.

However, Schards and Floyd are right - that was rubbish. I was actually trying to cook the tea while writing that.
Anyway please accept this as an apology for getting something wrong - a foreign concept for the both floyd and Schards. They prefer the long view on the self appointed moral highground.

Lets get the support behind the team on Sat. Lift them.
If the team are going to do it in the playoffs it's the away game that is vital.

My opinion is that when you get to the lottery end of the season it has nothing to do with relative league position - it's the team that's currently in form that will sweep all aside, which must make Sheffield Utd, Burnley or PNE the favourites. Not us. To quote Kevin Keegan, I would love it, absolutely love it if we went up there and beat them, but I think it's now time to take off the RTGs and be realistic. We had our big chance on Sunday and we blew it. I sent out a rant a few weeks ago about this season having 2004/05 written all over it, and If I'm going to have to be positive then I'd like to remind people what happened in 2005/06. (Puts RTGs back on).
