Maguire Strongest player on the pitch until, well, he wasn't on the pitch anymore.

Jerry St Clair Thank you, Stephane Andre Bikey, for providing the most exciting moment at a Reading game since the Duberry and Federici Show against Cardiff on Boxing Day. Ignore the hand-wringing tossers on here. They're the same people who complain that Kitson is showing no passion, and that we don't have any players like Robin Friday anymore.
I hope you dumped in the Burnley bath afterwards.
Enuff luv, bruv.

rhroyal This isn't the first time he's done something stupid though. His pre-season trial, the Chelsea game, the African Cup of Nations semi-final. Granted that didn't cost us but it made his temperament and inability to control himself apparent to the world. One thing most of his stupid moments have in common is that they were in big games. Do we want that sort of liability? A player who can't keep his head when the pressure's on. He's not a dirty player, but he loses his mind too often.
I agree that he is the best centre back at the club, probably the best in the division. How many chances do we want to give him though? His conduct yesterday by throwing a tantrum and chucking his shirt on the floor after a blatant red card was inexcusable. I think we've given him enough chances to control his temper now though, and however well he can play, I don't want a player in a Reading shirt who is prone to losing his mind and costing us the game when the pressure's on. And make no mistake, he cost us the game yesterday with his lapse of concentration for the penalty, even before his stamp. Burnley never looked like scoring until Bikey stepped up to the plate. A striker can afford 5 minutes or so switched off and not cost the team. A centre back can't. I don't care how good Bikey was for the first 80 minutes yesterday, his lapse and stupidity has cost us, and it's not the first time.
As far as I'm concerned we've given him enough chances now. Judging from Coppell's comments yesterday he agrees with me.

Huntley & Palmer Best defender in the division, though he has the thought processes of a cave man.
