If this had had happened in the Chelsea-Leeds FA cup final of 1970 it would have only merited a knowing wink from the referee. Modern football is soft I tell thee.

Drogba dives all the time and then is surprised when a ref doesn't give a decsion his way. He then has a prolonged and profane rant at the ref and then swears directly into the camera about disgraceful officials.

Bikey fouls, gets a fair red, looks incredulous, walks away, throws off his shirt and heads straight for the tunnel.

He was stupid, he'll get his punishment and I hope he's back next year.

In twenty years as a fan, I’ve never loved a player like I love Bikey.

I only hope the sending-off doesn’t precipitate his departure while I’m only halfway through getting a full-size tattoo of his face on my chest. The dreadlocks went on first, so I might be able to get it reworked into an Andy Bernal – maybe with a pair of undies over the face or some binoculars to obscure the different physiognomies. But to be honest it would be a whole lot more convenient for me of all the f*cking spackers on the boards could hold off driving him out of the club. If not for him being our most talented player, then at least for me to avoid a costly dispute with my tattooist.

He’s a headcase, but he’s a magnificent headcase and, above all, he’s our headcase. We should cherish his mental genius.

Worst. Shirt. Removal. Ever.

He should be made to walk the plank for that alone.

Jerry St Clair
Maguire Strongest player on the pitch until, well, he wasn't on the pitch anymore.

The massive over-reaction to this is staggering, but sadly predictable. There's even a frigging Facebook group calling for him never to play for Reading again. Do these people want every player who gives away a penalty and gets sent off ostracised? The only reason I'd want him out of my football club would be if I found out he was shagging my missus.

And even then I'd have to think twice about it.

If I caught Bikey shagging my missus, I think I'd tuck him in...

To be honest i think everyone should move on.

He's commited a crime and he has got punished, but he is our best centre back.

He got what he deserved, but i don't think you should kick him out of the club for it.

Wouldn't be my choice of action, you said he's or best centre back, yep agreed. Not much good when he misses 2 potentially huge games. Sent off in the 94th minute utterly pointlessly, must admit i'm glad the club have taken a hard line with him.

I'm probably going to get an absolute slating here but... here it goes.... If Bikey is our best centre back then we have serious problems!!!! Bikey is strong on the ball and not many forwards get past him - but that is all he gives us! He is too casual on the ball - Saturday was a great example of him having time on the ball and in the end gave away posession and he has ALWAYS been a liability - you just never know what he is going to do next! There was no need to pull the dude's shirt on Saturday - the player was going no-where - Marcus was coming to get the ball.
