Sun Tzu
Huntley & Palmer Interesting to read today that Bristol City's new ground could be considered as part of the stadia bid for World Cup 2018, if it meets the capacity and other requirements. That would mean it needing to be a 42,000 seater, I think we should do likewise. Would be great to have a beer at home then catch a train to watch a World Cup game

And the train service to Bristol is indeed excellent !

I read today that they need 10 stadia and have approached Twickenham to be one of them.

So if we assume Wembley, Emirates, OT, Villa Park, Anfield, Eastlands, SofL and St James are definites there is a lot of competition for that one remaining slot....

That didn't involve getting the votes of lots of FIFA members, a fair percentage of whom resent the UK have 4 different national assoications.

Give it a rest Seb. It's not big and it's not funny.

Bit like the stadium then...

Sebastian Now, I'm still undecided about the stadium expansion, I mean, I work in the business world, so you'd think I'd have a decent idea about the finaces...

Or how to spell finances?

Great to see that for tonight's game - one of the most important games ever played at the MadStad - there isn't a ticket available now for love nor money.

Oh.

It really, really isn't.

Even I, who has long sinced noticed the drop in demand oblivious to so many others, thought we were nailed on to sell out tonight.

To not do so is truely shocking.

It really, really isn't. Even Sheffield United - with an in-form team level from the first leg and a massive fan base, and reduced ticket prices - couldn't sell out their ground last night. 22-23,000 isn't great, but it isn't shocking either. It's a sign of the times.

To be honest, it shows what's happened to our football club, if we'd have been in play off semi's with only a 1-0 deficit and a chance for Wembley a few years back, i mean the Div.2 years etc tickets would be like hot cakes, not now the club is so downhill, expansion would be a waste of time and money at the moment.

It's more of a sign of playing crap and fans not having faith in us winning. If we can sell out for a semi-final a division lower v Wigan, we were capable of selling out last night. It's not as if we've lost support since then. With us a goal down, too many just couldn't be arsed, and you can't blame them really.

Coming out for an important game to see rows of empty seats must be great for the morale of our players and even more so when they emerge for a lap of honour. High time they reduced the number of seats by installing terracing in the East Stand.
