God no!
Why the hell not?
Excellent record with Leeds...took them to a champions league semi-final FFS.

West Stand Man I can see Murty joining the coaching staff, but not yet as a manager. He'll be there one day though.
So far as our manager goes, the 'big names' will probably baulk at the idea of a club that is run so tightly by the board. Not getting a war chest of £Xmillion will not suit some of them I am sure. I would expect Rodgers to be on the shortlist as he'll know the way this club works, and has been under a similar regime at Watford. Strangely I expect Ince to be up there too; he has shown at Macclesfield that he can do it on a limited budget and Blackburn hardly gave him a chance to shine did they?

Royal Lady Is Mike Kearney Brendan Rogers' father in law or Eamon Dolan's father in law, does anyone know?

Former Charlton boss Alan Curbishley is also a strong contender, while Dennis Wise, Ian Holloway, Bristol City’s Gary Johnson, Swansea’s Roberto Martinez and Peterborough’s Darren Ferguson are all in the frame.
Assistant bosses Wally Downes and Kevin Dillon would love the job, while Royals’ Academy manager Eamonn Dolan was made second favourite by the bookmakers at 7-1.
Sky Bet odds for next permanent Reading manager: 1/3 Rodgers, 7/1 Dolan, 10/1 Boothroyd, Curbishley, Pardew, Ince, 12/1 Souness, Hoddle, 14/1 Dowie, Cotterill, Holloway, D Ferguson, Barnes, Poyet, Wise, 20/1 Roeder, Jackett, Sanchez, Hassenthaler, Adams, McAllister, McGhee
