We should give Stephen Hunt he the armband in order to pursuade him to stay.

I agree mate. I love his total commitment to the team everytime he secures a new deal.

My god he has looked the Premiership star he thinks he is for the last few months.

Ivar Ingimarsson... as I believe this year the main reason to our fall-off in form has been due to the lack of a captain who motivates the team. When Ivar got injured we were left without a captain IMO.

If not Ivar then Gunnarsson - but the question is if he will get in the team... It was clear to see on tuesday night that Gunnar actually backed up his fellow players after they had been fouled/on decisions when Doobs was nowhere to be seen and silent

As much as he needs to improve as a player, Rosenior could also be put forward as he is very vocal out on the pitch and appears to have the right attitude - although if we had a better replacement, would he get in the team?

Gunnarrson? His days I hope are numbered! No legs.

Superb WU! Almost as funny as suggesting we give it to Kebe :D

But seriously I'd go for Armstrong - 1st name on the team sheet when he's fit, lots of geeing up on the pitch & sensible in front of the press. Of course that's assuming Murts can't get match fit again which is seeming ever more unlikely...

Why not Jay Tabb? From the last few games he looked like someone who would lead by example by getting stuck into the game. Wasnt he also the Coventry captain when he was signed?

Sure he may be getting on a bit but still got a lot more quality than quite a lot of our team. And in terms of being a good leader:

Gunnarsson > Tabb > Harper > Karacan > Marek > Cisse

Good point. Yeah if he gets the starts he could be a very good captain and has good bravery.

However the only reason I wouldn't put him as a top contender is that he is relatively new to the club

Tabbs's a good shout although the club captain should be a player who is near enough guaranteed a place in the team. I don't know who is at the moment.

Rosenior shouldn't be in the team, let alone be captain. He's just not technically good enough. His touch is pretty terrible. Don't know if this is something he can significantly improve at his age.

Pearce is a leader. (Bit like John Terry was as a youngster.)

Might be a bit early but he'd do the job. But unlike JT he's intelligent and good looking - a natural for the limelight!!

Great, he can lead a team but can't do 90 minutes, perfect. He's been ok for a couple of seasons from the bench, no more than that. Time for Bryn to move on IMO.

Harper, Armstrong, Tabb, Ingimarsson, Hahnemann.
All possible captains, though I suspect this will only be on the pitch - I can't imagine the new manager removing the captaincy from Murty.
