SLAMMED Burnley at home. I'd like to see how many fans they'd bring if they stay down.

I totally agree, they would probably bring 500!! Normal service resumed!
I do prefer an away game first up, but I would make an exception for them

I think it will be a home game, Just because for the last two seasons we've had away games first, the football league don't usually go past 2 consecutive home/away at the beginning of the season.

As for who it is, i'm hoping for Bristol city.

Preston at home.. barring this season, games at ours against them are always entertaining!

First game of the season should be against a big club- so Southampton away.

Oh.

The season we walked the championship we were at home to Plymouth. The premier league fixtures are done separately to the football league surely.

Football league opening day fixtures:

08/09 - Forest away
05/06 - Plymouth home
04/05 - Brighton home
03/04 - Ipswich away
02/03 - Derby away
01/02 - Blackpool away

Premiership opening day fixtures

07/08 - United away
06/07 - Boro home

So the last 8, 5 away and 3 at home. Hopefully another away to keep the trend up.

Sold out their allocation for the playoff, checked the programme for the league game and just over a thousand (1089?) made the trip.
