A trip to the centre of footballing excellence - London Road, Peterborough.
Seeing the much delayed RFC 2007 -2008 season report and accounts.
and.....not much more at the moment.

But I am sure my enthusiasm will return in August

Promotion failure - things to look forward to

by Jerry St Clair » 19 May 2009 09:04

1 - Another trip to Bristol City
2 - not having to pay £48 to watch my team play an upstart club in west London
3 - most games will be on Saturday afternoon (er, except the millions that we will have in midweek). Still better than Sunday, eh?

LoyalRoyalFan Championship Football on the BBC.

I'd missed this - surprised more wasn't made of it! BBC have 10 live games to show next season as well as winning the highlights whilst Sky will show 65 (albeit from the entire FL, so some of them will be token lower league).

I would guess 65-70 Championship games on next year then!

Royalee An exciting dynamic new manager - hopefully
Some tenacity, spirit and flair - hopefully
Us stringing two passes together - depends on above
Not having to crane my neck as we hoof the ball from one end of the pitch to the other for 90 minutes - see above
Federici throwing the ball out and managing to keep the ball on the pitch with his kicks - hopefully
Duberry being stripped of the captaincy and his place in a blue and white shirt - DONE
Pearce marshalling the defence - hopefully
Crosses which don't end up in the stands - mate, this is the championship
Stephen Hunt sodding off - I dunno. Sod off or rediscover form
An exciting young team - probably
Taking cup matches vaguely seriously - depends on manager
Players being picked on ability and form - hopefully
Tactical awareness - hopefully
Exciting signings to inspire - hmmmm
Karacan and Marek being partnered in midfield - "Marek will tear the Championship apart" LOL
Optimism and talk of what we hope to become, not how we can't compete because we're little old Reading - :|

I'd be somewhat interested on that but fully expect the board accountants to make the books balance perfectly no matter what it shows.

We better not lose the 1st five games then.
Patience for the knee-jerekers will naturally fly out of the window.

No, he just gave us a lot of verbal insults at the end of the game, and the finger.
Reported also.
