John Motson = NOT a radio commentator

Listening to the Portsmouth v Sunderland game last night on 5 Live whilst doing my weekly shop, it had John Motson commentating....thing is, he's too used to TV and cant do it for the radio:

"oooh oh, he's through, ooooooooooh unlucky"
WHAT........WHAT...........tell me!!!

"that was a great pass there, Jones really should have done better"
Pass from who?...........what did Jones do?

"he's through, he's through..........ooooooh what a blow for Sunderland, its a goal"
What happened, how was it scored? - tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

He seems to forget that we cant see whats going on so needs to explain every little detail about whats happening.

Id rather listen to the BBCRB idiots commentating than him

To all radio commentators - esp Motty: Stop commentating thinking that we can see what you are seeing.

To all tv commentators: We have eyes. We can see. We will not think that you have died bacuse you have gone 5 seconds without saying anything.

Take a leaf from the best sports commentator of history - Stand up Richie Benaud. Never overstates what can be seen.
