Reacquainted with Posh

by handbags_harris » 20 May 2009 15:24

Seeing as we're being renewing acquaintances with Peterborough, just thought I'd post this link as it seems a little appropriate.

'greed.

Still one of the top away days ever. Posh fans really wound up after the game though, head kept well down on the walk back into town.

I remember Pards and Salako going absolutely mental when the winner went in - and then being accused of spitting at disabled Posh fans!

Speaking to the Laurence Herdman, who did the commentary that day for BBCRB, he told me a story which was (and still is) quite amusing..... ...as Henderson scored the winner, Laurence got (understandably) VERY excited; the BBC Cambridgeshire guy (a Posh fan who had been pretty smug during the game) who was sat quite close to him (London Road's commentary facilities weren't great!) told him to calm down.... so Laurence told him to F**k off and a mini ruck kicked off in the commentary area!!!

I was at a twatting cat show.

Peterborough is my local team and I can't wait to see the six-pointer next year.

God, I didn't realise you could twat cats in public, let alone in front of an audience.

Is it the home counties equivalent of Bull fighting?

The away terrace comfortably holds more than 4,000. Me, I'm looking forward to walking to a game for a change :)
