SPECULATION - Jermaine Beckford

Transfer Listed by Leeds after rejecting a new contract following Leed's failure to win promotion. Would be a fantastic shout, although apparently some Premiership clubs are after him too.

This is a great oppurtunity, might as well put a bid in Hammond!

The Rouge Thug.

Which is something we've missed a bit of at times.

Not sure he would've been the right type of player for us under Coppell, but you never know what the new manager will be looking for.

I don't think we'll meet the Leeds price tag for a player that still has a bit to prove.

We need a forward that can play 46 games in a season not 30.

This guys record for red cards in not good.

Was reading an old programme the other day from 2003/2004 era and listed in the appearances for the reserves was a player called Jermaine Beckford. Did we have him on trial? He only played 1 or 2 games IIRC

IMO he'd be a good signing - yes he's got issues with discipline but hey 34 goals outside his suspension....i'd take that. He's still quite a raw player and new to the professional world. I'm sure the right manager could tame him a bit, someone like Steve Coppell...........oh

I could see him going to Birmingham, tbh.

They will want a large fee, probably in exces of £3million. Again it depends on who Reading's new manager is. MAy be someone similar to Coppell and is more team ethos with a preference of buying triers rather than the luxury flair players,or it could be someone completely the opposite. On the face of it you can't argue with his goal scoring record or the quality of goals scored. Would certainly be able to hack the championship, but i wouldn't be surprised to see WBA go for him. They need a centre forward and will have money to spend and will create chances for him.

If his discipline can be capped, then he could be an extremely good player for us (if we sign him).

Ken Bates We will want a large fee, probably in excess of £3million, in used fivers, to be put in a brown envelope and left behind the third radiator along in the gents toilets at Newport Pagnell Services - northbound.

a better all round player than Lita and has genuine pace, something we don't have.

score goals from nothing and at 1.5 could be a snip

34 goals in a season is not overrated.

yeah but you could say the same about the amount of assists hunt has this season and getting in the championship team of the season and look at him... im just going from the views of some leeds season ticket holders
