Really hope the Ding still go for Ferguson jnr, especially as it's clear no matter what their chairman says he is more than interested in the job.

Young manager who has already got 2 promotions on his CV. That'll do for me.

Their chairman's comments make it clear he's not only concerned he'll go but that his main aim is to cash in.

A chairman who was sure his manager wanted to stay would either not bother commenting or would simply say that they've talked it over and he's happy that the manager is staying put.

To bluster on about 'insults' and making people pay large sums makes him sound very insecure and money driven....

Agree actually. Had to LOL at his interview on the bbc, the tone of the chairman's voice is as you say worried and to say 'does he really want to go to Reading over us? I don't think so'

Well he clearly does because he wants to speak to Reading. :|

Rumoured that interviews will conclude today and new manager announced tomorrow. C'mon Rodgers or Ferguson.

They'll have to arrange a very late interview for young Darren !

It's going to be Rodgers.

Or someone else.

Good old bookies - Rodgers goes from 7/4 to evens and no-one else moves in the betting.

Who knows it may be happening today without us knowing - Ferguson makes it very clear he wants to talk to us - we agree a possible pay-off with Posh - interview this afternoon - announced tomorrow.

Unlikely perhaps, but wouldn't be the first time things move quickly in football.

Agree. Look how quickly we moved for Terry Bullivant after Tommy Burns turned us down. To think that there was someone with the same initials available so the money spent on new training kit didn't go to waste.

Who would be the alternatives to BR and DF then?

We could go for Steve Cotterill. Although Coppell's training kit may look a bit silly on him......

I reckon on it being Brendan Rodgers. Not sure whether I find this disappointing and just another "cheap" option from JM or not (but then looking at the names mooted on the short list they all fall into that category (what a surprise).

But then at least Rodgers has contacts in the game, not the least of which is Jose Mourinho.

By the way, if it does happen, which Watford players do we want?

I fear Rodgers will get the QPR job, for some reason he's the only one I want!
