This afternoon, Graeme Murty Defender Graeme Murty believes Reading have made an excellent decision to bring Rodgers back to the club where he enjoyed such success as academy boss.
"I think he is very suited. He knows the club very well and obviously he ran the academy so all the young players know him," Murty, who was told in May he would not be offered a new contract, told Sky Sports News.
"He is very technically astute and all I think it is a perfect appointment. He is a young, vibrant manager looking to make his way in the game.
"We are delighted to get him back at the club because he is going to have a big future in the game.
"It is a big pair of shoes to fill (replacing Coppell) but I am sure he is up to the task."
Sounds like he's still part of the plans to me!!
