Was reading an old programme the other day from 2003/2004 era and listed in the appearances for the reserves was a player called Jermaine Beckford. Did we have him on trial? He only played 1 or 2 games IIRC

Yes we had him here on an extended trial but did not pursue interest at the time and he went back to which ever non league team he was with at the time.

Obviously we felt Lloyd Owusu was the better option at the time and that Darius Henderson and Nathan Tyson would be the future.

He is a nasty piece of work but he looks a class finisher when ever I see him play. 3 Million would be good investment as he would double his value Sawith 20+ goals in the championship. Sadly Mr Mad would not see it like that after all we already have Shane Long.

someone who has banged in 34 goals in league 1, which isnt that badder league, is well worth a punt for the right price. From what ive seen of him i would snap him up without a 2nd thought, and hope Rodgers can sort out his Leroy esq attitude.

You think Swansea will spend in excess of £2m on a replacement?

If it's still two clubs being heavily linked, then it is Sheffield United for certain, and apparently Newcastle United, accordsing to SSN recently... The Sheffield link is a cert. Enquiries made, no bid tho.
