Has to be O****d.

Them getting relegated out of the league was almost as good as us getting promotion to the Premier League.

These days none of the above are 'rivals' in any meaningful sense.

Hard to see us ever playing Aldershot, Swindon, Oxford or Brentford again in a league match (at least for many years).

Would many of those call us their main rivals? I doubt it!

There is only one answer to this - o matter what the options in a poll. It's Aldersh*t.

But I guess all you plastics that don't remember the right old ding-dongs of the 60s and 70s weren't even born.

Well we can hardly be blamed for that! I did though go to the Aldershot friendly back in 2001 and can remember their fans throwing stones at us, so I can see there's a rivalry but not having grown up with it I don't really care that much about them. Having grown up watching Reading in the 90s for me it's got to be Swindon and Oxford. I can still remember singing "we beat the scum 2-0" at the County Ground. When was the last time we sang that about anyone? Also, does anyone remember Oxford's sarcastic comment in the programme for the last Elm Park game? All the Division 1 clubs had been asked to send us a little message to wish us well in our move to the Mad Stad. Oxford's message: Enjoy Division Two! How that came back to haunt them!

Aldershot is without doubt our main rival, but for some reason the home games with Oxford and Swindon at Elm Park always seemed to be the biggest games.

Reading fans have always cried out for a proper rival, but for some reason opposing clubs don't really give a shit about us.

I find it amusing that there are suggestions that Swindon don't view us as a rival. We've played them 90 odd times, as opposed to the few times we've played Aldershot or Oxford.

Most Reading fans will view Swindon, Oxford and Aldershot as rivals, the problem is Oxford and Swindon don't view us as rivals.

I doubt that Swindon have played Oxford more than they have played us.
