Big FootVictor MeldrewHuntley & Palmer Is it safe to say that Newcastle have the worst transfer record on players in the Noughties?
Ginola and Albert weren't bad nor was that bloke Shearer but in recent times their record has been abysmal.
Craig BeLOLLOLamy
LOLauren Robert
Patrick KLOLuivert
Craig Bellamy and Lauren Robert were not exactly bad signing. They of course had their attitude problems but both players were key in the Bobby Robson era. After he left they were shite though. Patrick Kluivert was free so cant be looked on as that bad although he was shite and on big wages.
The real bad signings were the likes of...
-Carl Cort 8m
-Fabrizio Coloccini 10m
-Jose Enrique 6m
-Joey Barton 5.8m
-Albert Luque 10m
-Michael Owen 18m
-Emre 4m
-Boumsong 8m
-Titus Bramble 5m
-Hugo Viana 8.5m
Add to that a load of shite that cost around 2m or so each and it quickly adds up to near 100m on players that havn't done an awful lot. Signings like Smith and Duff who cost around 6m each look good on paper but the pair have either been injured or played rubbish.
Although some good players have been signed they seem to get sold on for a similar amount they were signed for; Woodgate, Parker, Jenas, Martins (will be sold in summer) and N'Zogbia (a massive profit was made on him).
To be honest the only thing you can do is LOL. If anyone wants a good laugh just have a look at their transfer record on soccerbase.
