Pearce long term without a shadow of doubt and I'd be tempted to give it to him now.

Agree with you , he's the type of player who I reckon will benefit from wearing the armband and it will speed his development .He's a confident lad who is not shy about yelling instructions around the field.Bit like John Terry but better ( I hope ).

Do see where you are coming from, Pearce looks like a good prospect and with this 'new era', new management, new feeling to the club it may not go a miss. However I do feel the club needs to keep some of its status from previous seasons, Harper or Ingi, would fit nicely.

However good Pearce may be, alike Hunt, they haven't been in the first team long enough to lead it. IMO one season doesn't match the criteria to knowing a teams insides and outsides. Harper has covered every blade of grass on our pitch and I love his mentality.

He gets it for me, but like I've said I do see where people are coming from I would keep Pearce in mind for the future.

Personally i don't see too many candidates, there is only, in my opinion, Ingi, Harper, Tabb or Sretch and the outstanding one in that quartet is Ingi, experienced, well respected, we are led to believe, by the rest of the squad a calm, relaxed manner who can also handle the public scruitiny. Others mentioned Hunt never, Doyle not sure about a front man taking the armband, Pearce no doubt our man of the future..in time though. But also BR might bring his own man in ?

Definitely Ivar for Captain next season - when he wasn't playing and captain we didn't have a captain for the end of last season which IMO is the reason why all things went downhill...
