Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear a Reading - and we would like you to get involved.
We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers.
Much of Reading's success has arrived in their recent history so it is not surprising that many of the contenders for their best-ever player come from the modern era.
Nicky Shorey made over 250 appearances in a seven-and-a-half year spell with the Royals before leaving for Aston Villa while Glen Little, who is in his second stint with the club, is considered one of the club's greatest-ever wingers.
Dave Kitson, who played with Shorey and Little in the Premier League, bagged 54 goals in 135 league appearances before leaving in a £5.5million move to Stoke City and then re-joining on loan.
The likes of Linvoy Primus, Phil Parkinson and Darren Caskey all starred for the club in the 90s while Jamie Cureton's prolific goalscoring record ensured he had a star named after him by the club's supporters' trust.
The club's older fans will find it hard to look beyond Steve Death, who previously held the record 1,103 minutes without conceding a goal in English league football, and Robin Friday - winner of the club's "Player of the Millennium" award.
To make your selection please complete the form below and tell us why you are putting your chosen nominee forward.
Once we have received all your nominations, we will narrow down the selections for each side to the 10 leading candidates. You can then vote for your personal favourite.
After all votes are cast we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown the Reading's greatest-ever player!
