Wycombe Royal it would be absolutely criminal if we don't at least make a bid.

What law would we be breaking?

Do you have NHA? aspergers WR?

None of the above, just being argumentative and an all round annoying twat today. It helps the day pass quicker, especially when someone like AP bites.......

Apparently he is signing for Wolves later today for around £1m.

Well since we are on topic.

Think it's another shrewd move by Wolves who have accumolated 3 very good players for £7.5million. Surman was worth 3 or 4 times this amount a few months ago before Saints financial problems, must admit seems the ideal person tohave here fingers x'd with Hunt departing. Sadly looked to have missed out again on a Southampton young prospect, McGoldrick would have been a decent long term signing and Surman similarly.

This is where having a new manager isn't quite ideal, obvious that Rodgers would like to have a look at the squad in training first and maybe even see them play their first pre season game before he evaluates where in the squad needs strengthening. Whereas the previous manager would have known and maybe (altho knowing Coppell unlikely) would have acted quicker off the mark knowing full well the ins and outs of the squad.

Wolves are building a very good Championship side for 10/11.

Wolves won't get relegated.

Not in a divison that has Burnley, Birmingham, Stoke, Hull and Wigan in it.

But then again, there will be a massive lol at wolves if they do contrive to oxf*rd things up. It is one thing spending pots of dosh but to get everyone to play as a team is another story altogether.

£7.5million in Premiership terms for 3 players isn't 'pots of dosh'. Sunderland paid more than to sign Craig Gordon.

They've got a proven experienced goalkeeper, a proven goalscorer in his prime and a young left sided player at a cut price. 3 excellent deals imo. Especially when you compare that to some of their rivals deals already, namely Birmingham. Who have spent £9million on 2 defenders with no pedigree above the CCC.

I would normally agree, but the likes of Hull, Wigan and Stoke will have experianced players that have an edge over Wolves. I see a lot of us a few years ago in that Wolves side, they'll give it a real go, but I'd be tempted to put a tenner on the three going up coming straight back down this season.

I think Rodgers will be using the entire season to evaluate the squad. I think he's been told that he's under no pressure to deliver anything this year other than stabilising the playing staff at the same time as radically reducing the wage bill. I don't think we can expect much this season, but next season may be a different matter.

Wigan pop up every season---and consistently finish nowhere near relegation.

While I really rate Martinez as a manager, Wigan's pitch isn't great and if he wants a similar style to what he produced at Swansea will also take away lots of what Wigan were half decent at, more of a long ball and physical side. Coupled with a couple of big name players going I don't think it's inconcievable they might not do so well. Again I think Wolves will finish above them, having said all that Wigan will also stay up.

Hull, Stoke, Burnley and Birmingham 3 outta 4 from that lot I'd back.

Well on 2 of their 4 Premiership seasons that might be true, but I'm not sure if that qualifies for consistently.

Don't discount Pompey either, massive debt, takeover on the rocks, managerless, 17 senior players (of which several are looking for pastures new). If the takeover falls through they'll be going into the new season rudderless and thoroughly under prepared.

With the added bonus that we sail up past them or help consign them to a second relegation the next season whilst gaining promotion please.
