Great move for Owen. Good luck to him, he should do fairly well and hopefully can keep fit and go to another world cup. He's easily good enough to be a back up striker at worst.

Why? He'd be on a fortune at Hull, whereas this pay as you play aspect at 'United shows his desire to play rather than lining his pockets.

Arch If it pays off it's also the best possible news for England.

Exactly. Who better to get the best out of him too than SAF.

Owen is still not even 30

Depends what he is paid per game, as oppossed to what Hull could offer him per week.

That's the whole point, surely? He'd be laughing if he was getting paid to lay on the treatment table, ala Hull. At 'United the bulk of his earnings will only come if he plays games and scores goals...

It's always been doubtful, sort of like Oswestry. I'd always lock my car doors, let me put it that way.

Depends if he is paid a flat rate per game, or on a sliding scale, I guess.

Now I hate Man utd as much as the next fan BUT I am a fan of Michael Owen and I wish him all the best and I`m sure he will score goals, goals, goals at Old Trafford-potentially a lethal prospect of a Rooney/Owen partnership.
I hope he has a good season and forces his way into Fabio Cappellos plans for the world cup.Who would you rather in a tense game with big opposition in a must win group game or quarter final. Agbonlahor, Carlton Cole or Michael Owen? Bit of a no brainer really, the 2 former players shouldn`t be within a 100 miles of an England squad let alone on the pitch wearing the 3 lions.
I really hope he stays injury free, nabs some goals and proves his critics wrong. Good luck Michael.

I read about this on BBC rumours, apparently Arsenal fans spoofed this one. Don't they like Adegayor?

I must say, I believed it even when they said he had a top speed of 145KM/H, but the phrase "Adebayoratize"? Please.
