John Terry

by soggy biscuit » 06 Jul 2009 10:07

May just be summertime tabloid talk but there seems to be an awful lot about it.

Terry & Mark Hughes 'allegedly' spotted together in Dubai. Terry cancelled his appearnce in the Yeovil match at the weekend at very late notice for unclear reasons. Lots of journalist talk of Chelsea being very unhappy that Terry is refusing to tell the media that he wants to stay and then Petr Cech gives an interview to Sky this morning where when asks if he thinks Terry will stay he says 'sometimes people want new challenges'

Why would Man City want to buy that racist clown?

In Kes's absence I'll add his reply of "I didn't think Man City were interested in john Mackie"

What difference does the money make to Chelsea? Could they replace him with an equally good or better player? Probably not.

:| of course the money makes a difference to Chelsea - its £40m more to spend on players than they already had!

But to say they couldn't get an equally good or better player for that money is ridiculous, there are plenty of better defenders out there, than Terry, who are also younger!

At this stage I really couldn't see Terry leaving Chelsea. There is no way he'd give up playing Champions League football, especially being England captain.

Maybe next season, should City finish in the top four.

£300k per week might take away the pain of not playing Champions League football though!

I can't see him going to Man City he's Chelsea through and through, and Anchelotti has said on sky sports he'll be chelsea captain forever. Although you never know as the money might tempt him away.

"Yes we'll sell Terry" = £40m
"Never, we will never sell Terry" = £50m

Terry is an overrated mentalist.

Wave enough wonga in his face and he'll go to Yeovil. Chelsea could certainly replace him with £40m. It would just be a question of buying well.

Hell they could go for two defenders for that much and double their chance of getting one good enough.

I agree with Ian Royal that "Mr Chelsea" could easily become "Mr£££££" if you throw enough cash his way. As they like to say it is only a short career afterall.

Greed is stopping him publicly putting an end to the speculation as he simply wants to use it as an opportunity to increase his already obscene £140k a week wages.

Mr Chelsea being from Barking or somewhere close was probably never a Chelsea fan anyway, probably the Hamsters as a kid anyway, so although it would be hard for him to leave a club with who he has been with since 14 or so, the doubling of his wages I am sure would give him the warm feeling that we could only get closed to p'ing our pants.........

Anyway can someone please put the picture of him slipping taking the pen up again, please!!

If it is just a way of getting more money from Chelsea then the fans won't care, they already forgot that Lampard did just the same not long ago. Terry has also admitted to being a Man Utd fan in the past so the whole 'Mr Chelsea' thing is a bit of an odd comment

Terry's been very quiet about the whole affair, he's the Captain, the more silent...

Apparently Chelsea have not spoken to him about it since the bid(s) were made, so he's probably sulking in the corner somewhere!

Terry was a United fan as a kid and was due to join them at a young age but like in Moscow bottled it and was in tears with the thought of moving away from his family.

I understand "Mr Chelsea" has been spotted sitting at a bus stop contemplating his future, does anyone have picture evidence to support this rumour?
