wickedwhispers At this stage I really couldn't see Terry leaving Chelsea. There is no way he'd give up playing Champions League football, especially being England captain.

Maybe next season, should City finish in the top four.

£300k per week might take away the pain of not playing Champions League football though!

To be honest after £50,000 a week does it really matter?

How much do these people need or want? Bit obscene if you ask me.

Greedy barstewards.

It's not the actual figure they get that's important to them - what does matter is that they get slightly more than another player. It's the differentials that force everyone's wages up.

LOL @ people who get mythed at why a player would want £xxxk a week.

It’s like saying why would you want to go from £22k a year to £24k. Or £40k to £50k so on.

It’s all relative no matter how much you earn, if you earn a bit more you can spend a bit more. Luxury yachts, private islands etc are just a couple of the things for example that the more you earn the better you can get.

Do you know what?

I don't want to know how much, or even care, how much they earn.

As long as they don't moan about not having as much as the next guy. Or whine about anything for that matter.

You can have the 1m and I'll have the 5m, and we'll both be happy.

I'd love it, love it, if Man City replaced CheLOLsea in the top four in the next few years.

I don't think anyone is doubting that, just interesting to see how far he will go just to get a bit more money from the club he claims to love.

So, as far as I can tell JT hasn't come out in the press and said anything and the club have officially said, he isn't for sale at any price?

Can't see what the issue is really.

It'll also give him more money so he can pay for top lawyers to get his mum off future shop-lifting charges.

Interesting to hear Sky Andrews the football agent on the radio saying that with a club like Man City a move can eventually be for footballing reasons.
The logic is that more and more top players are going there so the club that you join might end up having better players than Chelsea.
Chelsea have signed Sturridge and supposedly have been looking at 'Boro's wingers so you could argue that they are not now that ambitious whereas City have a great sense of ambition and are doing what Chelsea did a few years ago so why not join in with what could be an exciting challenge and get paid loadsa money.
