The Bukta kit.

Would kill for one of those shirts now.

Was the previous kit really umbro. Never seen the umbro logo on any old pics.

I'd like to see Reading wear that again.

Nice and simple, and for me, typical Reading.

The 'Chronicle' kit is still my favourite though.

The first kit I saw was the 84/85 kit but I still really like the 98/99 kit.It always looks good with a little bit of red in it. It would be interesting to see the away kits-does anybody have a link to bring them up?
One of my personal favourites was the red and white "arrow" away kit from about 1991, (its still hanging in my wardrobe, doesn`t fit now though-must have shrunk in the wash!!!  )

The 85-87 is the first I remember seeing as my Dad gave me a postcard with the team photo on it when I was very young. First one I saw "in the flesh" though would have been the 87-89 kit.

Favourite of the lot is 69-74 - Wish we could go back to FULL, thin hoops with white shorts and socks.

Bukta 78-79 Which was my first Reading shirt I bought, you could not get one from the club shop as they didn't sell replica shirts in those days. I had to order it from Stan Eldon's sports shop. Don't recall us ever having an umbro shirt? If we did the logo wasn't on the shirt.

When I first went to Elm Park in 1968 they were playing in the light blue Man City type kit but the narrow hoops shirt brought back in 1969 has always been my favourite and still is. In those days you couldn't buy replica kit for teams outside the top flight.

For me, it was the 1965 all sky blue strip. Variations included white neck and cuffs, also white turn-over tops on the socks. Liked the 1969 hoops relaunch though.

We'll never have a shirt that beats the Hat Painting TV interference effort. A design classic.
