Someone's pulling your leg mate. Even BR himself said he'd only sign 3 or 4 players.

Flip_Flop At least i don't make stuff up, where is the press conference? Or even the website advertising the text message service.

Flip_Flop just seen te new kit! This is for real!!

Blue and white hoops (obviously)
Puma badges on shoulders
Blue panels down side - so no 'full hoops'
White panel on back - not seen the lettering but assuming it will be blue (although would like to see the red back)
V neck shirt - no collar.

Ian Royal Can't see this happening.

Tyson & Smith?

Mancienne choosing us over Wolves?

'greed. Three of the six are likely, but Mancienne isn't, and neither is Smith IMO.

This is the same Tommy Smith who is reported in the local Sheffield rag as currently training with Reading is it?

Personally I think Tommy will be a Reading player at some point in the next two weeks - Reading are probably planning to let it die down a bit and try it on with Watford again with a bid of about 1.4 million.

Firstly Chelsea are unlikely to want to help a fellow Championship team out and also the Link between Rodgers and Chelsea gives us good hope.

Yes, I'm sure Mancienne would love to be playing in the Championship instead of fighting for a place in a Premiership team where he knows the management and players.

Still we can but try.

Anyway, for the record, I think Pearce is a better player.

Yeah, because Wolves are really a threat to Chelsea's title bid!

And Jay, I didn't say Smith was unlikely, he's looking pretty much like a cert tbh, I said him AND Tyson are unlikely, so you're not really agreeing with me there.

Er... really? Assuming you mean a fellow premiership team, Chelsea simply need to add a clause that Mancienne can't play against them while playing at Wolves. In theory he's then assisting Wolves against Chelsea's title rivals, but not against Chelsea themselves. There's every reason to do it. Think of Frazier Campbell last season and Joe Hart this coming season, for two examples off the top of my head.

Not sure if thats legal these days is it?

Wasnt there some rule change after Tim Howard wasnt allowed to play against Utd a couple of seasons ago? Might just have been putting clauses in after a sales as opposed to loan though so I could be wrong :?

Actually there might even be a league rule that loanee players cant play against their real club :?

Quite right, its a Premier League rule that players on loan at fellow Premier League clubs cannot play against their parent club, not sure if it applies to the football league though.

I'm sure it's a rule now. Aren't they classed as illegible if playing against their parent club?

It all changed after Lua-Lua scored for Portsmouth against Newcastle, while on loan from Newcastle

brendywendy, two posts later, would tie in nicely with the new shirt launch.........

I'm not looking forward to seeing "Waitrose" tattoed across the players' chests.
